Seasoned Guero Peppers:
Ingredients:
2 tbs avocado or olive oil
6-8 Guero peppers
Juice of half a lime
1/2 tsp coarse grain salt
1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
Directions:
In a skillet, heat oil and add peppers. Turn often until evenly blistered and lightly browned. Remove from heat and put into large bowl. Squirt lime juice over them and dust with salt and pepper. Eat as snack, or as an accompaniment to Latin or Caribbean cuisine.
Stuffed Mini Peppers With Bacon Candy:
4 slices thick cut bacon
1/4 cup light brown sugar
10 sweet mini peppers (halved and seeded)
4 oz cream cheese (softened)
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup grated parmesan
Juice of half a lime (about 2 tbs)
3 tbs minced jalapeno
1/4 tsp salt
1 to 1 1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper (divided)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Directions:
Lay bacon slices on cooking rack on foil-lined cookie sheet. Season with 1/2 to 1 tsp cracked pepper and then top with brown sugar, coating thoroughly. The more the better! Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until edges are turning dark, about 25-30 minutes. Let cool, and then cut into one inch strips. set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayo, parmesan, lime juice, jalapeno, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp garlic powder. Mix thoroughly. Then, carefully scoop filling into halved mini peppers and arrange them on serving dish. Top with bacon candy strips and serve!
Mango Habanero Hot Sauce:
Ingredients:
4 Habanero Peppers (seeded and chopped)
2 garlic cloves (roughly chopped)
1 tbs olive oil
1 mango
1 1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbs apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup lime juice
Directions:
In a small sauce pan, heat 1 tbs olive oil and cook habanero and garlic until soft. Then add apple cider vinegar, sugar, and salt. Stir and then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for ten minutes. Then, pour mixture into blender, add 1/4 cup lime juice, mango (watch video for instructions on preparing), and blend until completely smooth. Pour into bottle for serving. Can store up to 1 month in refrigerator.

Pepper Varieties - Santa Fe Grande
One of the most flavorful peppers we grew during 2021. Very productive and great if you grow peppers in containers. This was one of our favorite peppers to grow and eat. It will be one of our top keepers due to the many ways of enjoying it. If you can grow this one, it will add a beautiful display in your garden. Definitely a conversation starter.
