1 lb Chicken Livers 8 oz Water Chestnuts; Drained 12 Bacon Strips 1/4 c Soy Sauce 1/2 t Ginger; Powdered 1/2 t Chinese 5-Spice Powder; OR 1/2 t Curry Powder Cut the chicken livers in half or into large chunks. Cut the largest chestnuts in half. Cut the bacon strips in half, crosswise. Wrap a piece of bacon around pieces of liver and chestnuts, securing the ends with a toothpick. Place in a shallow pie plate as you make them. Combine the soy sauce with spices and pour over the rumaki; refrigerate about 1/2 hour before serving. Preheat the grill or broiler and broil the rumaki until the bacon is crisp, about 20 minutes, turning to brown on all sides. Serve hot.

These Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts are super easy to make! This is a great appetizer to take to a Super Bowl party You can make these for any party Christmas - New Year - Tailgate

How to make The Best Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts Appetizer!
Start with 2 cans whole water chestnuts, 1 pack of bacon, soy sauce, white sugar, toothpicks and a cutting board.
Slice bacon in thirds.
Open water chestnuts and drain the water.
Add soy sauce to cans and let soak for about 3-4 minutes.
remove water chestnuts, roll in sugar and wrap with bacon.
secure bacon with a toothpick, place in pan.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Once preheated, cook for approximately 60 minutes, or until the bacon is as crispy as you like it..
Be careful not to burn since there is sugar in this, it could burn if not attended.

Chicken livers never tasted so good!
Here are the ingredients:
l lb. container chicken livers 1/3 cup Teriyaki sauce 1/4 cup cooking sherry 1 tablespoon grated ginger 1 tablespoon chopped garlic 1 12 oz. pack of bacon 1 can water chestnuts round tooth picks 1/2 cup brown sugar see video for instructions Bake on top rack of oven at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes Thanks for watching. Scallops or shrimp can be substituted for chicken livers.

Here’s your recipe!
2) 8 oz Cans Whole Water Chestnuts, Drained 1/4 Cup Worcestershire 1 TSP Salt 1 TSP Lemon Juice (preferably fresh) 1/2 TSP Tabasco 1 Pkg Bacon, each slice cut in thirds
Marinate chestnuts in worcestershire, salt, lemon juice and tabasco for one hour, drain. Wrap each chestnut with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place on greased baking sheet and broil 6-8 minutes until bacon on top is cooked, take tray out, pour off bacon grease, turn all chestnuts over and place back under broiler for another 6-8 minutes until bacon is done on that side. Remove baking pan, drain grease. Place bacon nuts on paper towel to drain then serve warm.
