How To make Pumpkin Pecan Pie
1 1/2 c Pumpkin
1/2 c Pecan halves; toasted
4 Eggs
3/4 c Granulated sugar
1/4 c Rum
1 ts Ground ginger
1/2 ts Ground cloves
1 1/2 c Whipping cream
1 9 inch pie crust; unbaked
Recipe by: St. Louis Post-Dispatch 11/20/95 Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Combine pumpkin and pecans in bowl of a food processor; process until smooth and well blended. Scrape pumpkin mixture into bowl. Beat in eggs. Add sugar, rum, cinnamon, ginger and cloves; blend well. Add cream; stir until completely mixed. Pour pumpkin mixture into pie shell. Bake 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 300 degrees; bake until a knife inserted slightly off center comes out clean, about 40 minutes longer. Serve warm or at room Gubbins. -----

Pumpkin Pecan Pie
1 pre baked Pie crust
1 15oz can pure pumpkin
1 14oz sweetened Condensed Milk
2 eggs
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
Topping:
3/4 brown sugar
3 Tbls ap flour
1 tsp cinnamon
4 Tbls salted butter
1 & 1/2 cup pecans
Assemble per video instructions
Pour filling into prepared shell.
Bake filling in a 425° oven for 20 minutes.
Turn oven down to 350° add topping and bake 35 to 40 more minutes. cover crust with tin foil of it begins to get too brown.

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, this is our take on a fantastic American dessert. Pumpkin is a vegetable that lends itself really well to sweet dishes. We top it with candied pecans to add a bit of extra crunch to the beautifully smooth pumpkin mixture.

Pumpkin Pie With Pecan Topping | Pumpkin Pecan Pie
Pumpkin Pie with Pecan Topping
For Pie Crust
For Pumpkin Filling:
Pumpkin Puree - 15 oz Can
Evaporated Milk- 12 oz Can
Brown Sugar - 1/4 cup
White Sugar - 1/2 cup
Eggs - 2
Ground Cinnamon - 1 tsp
Ground Ginger - 1/2 tsp
Ground Nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
For Pecan Topping:
Butter - 2 tbsp
Brown Sugar - 3 tbsp
Chopped Pecan - 3/4 cup
Bake at 425-degrees F for 15 minutes then reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees and bake for 45 minutes.
Remove from the oven and top the pecan.
Bake for another 5- 10 minutes.
