4 Eggs; slightly beaten 2 c Canned pumpkin 1 c Sugar 1/2 c Dark corn syrup 1 ts Vanilla 1/2 ts Cinnamon 1/4 ts Salt 1 Unbaked 9" pie shell 1 c Pecans; chopped Combine all ingredients except pecans. Pour into pie shell. Top with pecans. Bake at 350~ for 40 minutes or until set. :

Cooking Grandma Leona's Pumpkin Pecan Pie
This is an approximation of my Grandma Leona's Pumpkin Pecan Pie. It didn't turn out as I remember with shiny pecans all floated up to the top... Was it the non-canned squash that was too thick? Was it the mystery of condensed crossed out and replaced with evaporated milk? I don't know. I'll have to test it again. However, this pie is a once-a-year treat as I have one for Thanksgiving and another tucked in the freezer for Christmas. So, until next year, enjoy!

INGREDIENTS:
●2 eggs , beaten
●1 (16 ounce) can pumpkin
●3/4 cup sugar
●1 teaspoon cinnamon
●1/2 teaspoon salt
●1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
●1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
●1/4 teaspoon vanilla
●1 2/3 cups evaporated milk
●1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shells
●3 tablespoons butter , softened
●2/3 cup brown sugar
●2/3 cup pecans , chopped
