Tired of Muddling? | Lime & Mint Cordial for Fast and Clear Mojitos
Have you ever worked at or hosted a party where you made a lot of Mojitos? Were you tired of muddling mint for every single cocktail? I have a solution! Lime & Mint cordial for fast and clear-looking Mojitos, without compromising the lacking fresh mint taste. Clarified Mojito where the rum keeps its full flavor is the best option for larger parties or when you would like to impress your guests. The additional spray of Absinthe and a bit of cardamom in the cordial is just a great improvement of this cocktail but I will let you be the judge. What do you think of the Cocktail Time Mojito? Find the recipes below.

Make Your Own Cocktail Bitters + Botanica Unboxing
Cocktail Bitters - what are they and why do we use them? Can you Make your own cocktail bitters at home? Which bitters brand is the most popular and can you drink it as a shot? You learn all of that in this episode! I also had the pleasure of unboxing an awesome package of dehydrates and spices sent to me by the Botanica - the team that cares about perfect looking garnishes for cocktails and about the ingredients for infusions we make! Great job Botanica! Oh yeah, and I did a shot of Angostura Bitters at the end of the episode. That's… an adventure! Have you ever tried it?!
ORANGE BITTERS
Flavoring agents:
• 10 g dehydrated oranges
• 5 g dried orange peels
• 0,5 g cardamom seeds
• 2 g dried lemon peels
• 12,5 g fresh organic orange peels
• 0,1 g clove
• 0,2 g coriander
Bittering agents
• 1 g gentian
• 0,2 g quinine
Spirits needed
• 150 ml (5 oz) light rum
• 50 ml (1 2/3 oz) Everclear or 96% neutral grain spirit
Mix everything together in one jar, add a label with the date, alcohol content, and the name of the bitters that you're making. Leave it on a room temperature for 2 weeks (closed, of course!) and agitate daily.
After 2 weeks, strain out the liquid and cook the solid ingredients in water for about 5 minutes. Leave it to cool and use that water for reducing the alcohol content to 45%.
Use the PlanetCalc online calculator for the ratio:
Add 10 ml (1/3 oz) of demerara simple syrup, mix and leave to settle for additional 2 days. After that, strain through a coffee filter and use your homemade orange bitters in style! Old Fashioned, anyone?
