Rambutan fruit recipe ???? Sweet & Sour Sinhalese Fruit Dishes | Sri Lankan Food | Nature Cooking
Rambutan is a fruit that is found in tropical parts of Asia and is recognizable by its bright red color and exterior that looks like messy hair (in fact, rambutan comes from the Malay word for hair).
➡️ This refreshing fruit is similar to lychee and can be eaten alone or as a key ingredient in many Sri Lankan dishes!
Today, I’ll share some of my favorite rambutan recipes with you.
As usual, I start by harvesting many of my own ingredients right from nature; join me as I walk through the countryside collecting fresh rambutan.
➡️ This fruit is surprisingly versatile and I’ll make a spicy rambutan pickle, payasam (a sweet pudding, rambutan curry, and a refreshing rambutan and Ceylon olive drink!

How to make an eye catching strawberry pudding dessert ???? | Food recipes from nature
➡️ I hurried down to the knol-khol yard ???? early in the morning as soon as my father told me that there were some yams matured earlier before the season. I plucked several ripe tomatoes ???? from the garden, in the thoughts of preparing a spicy tomato curry as mother had brought roasted bread ???? for breakfast.
➡️ It is an infamous delicacy among the general public, to have roasted bread with a “Pol Sambol” and a tomato broth prepared like “Ambarella Curry” ????????
➡️ On the next day, I planned to prepare a strawberry pudding ???? since there were some ripe strawberries left. The 1st and the 2nd layers of the pudding were enriched with coco biscuit, nuts and butter cookies. Its top most layer filled only with strawberries and its next layers were made of a blend of strawberry jam, yoghurt, gelatine and whipping cream
➡️ Mother prepared a “Malluma” with knol-khol leaves, a knol-khol yam milk-curry and a maldive fish fry. The rest of the yam were mixed with a potato then boiled and fried ???? to make it tastier.
➡️ The “Pathola Sambol” was made out of the raw snake-gourds which were cut into tiny pieces, mixed with red onion and tomato then sprinkled a pinch of salt and lime, finally mixed with scraped coconut… ???????????? As delicious as it sounds I would have eaten only the “Pathola Sambol” itself.
➡️ My little brother prepared a garlic rice. Mother fried “Karallan fish” ???????? and prepared an omelette with a Soya Curry. After a delicious meal it was the time to taste a piece from the strawberry pudding ????. All four of us tasted every bit of the pudding as it was both tasty and an eye candy. ????????????????????????
The closer you are to nature more blissful you become. As cessation of life become meaningful…????????

Nature’s Garden Apricot Almond Shortbread Bars
Nature’s Garden Apricot Almond Shortbread Bars are the perfect sweet treat. These bars are buttery and delicious, we are sure they will be a hit with anyone who tries them.
Nature’s Garden Probiotic Apricots are enhanced with ten billion cfu clinically researched Probiotics Lactobacillus Rhamnosus GG and Saccharomyces Boulardii.
Also Nature’s Garden Probiotic Apricots are a good source of Vitamin A and E, potassium, and fiber. There are Nature’s Garden Sliced Almonds in these Shortbread Bars as well, which contain calcium, iron, protein, and potassium.

Naturally Sweet Kid's Treats
Snack time just got a little sweeter thanks to these apple chips and rice crispy treats. Say goodbye to the store-bought versions of these classic treats and hello to homemade alternatives that are super easy to make. Plus, both of these tasty snacks are made using raw honey in place of processed sugar, so you can enjoy a sweet treat guilt-free.
Ingredients for Honey Apple Chips:
- 3 Granny Smith apples
- 2 Tbsp Nature Nate’s pure honey
- 1 Tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch salt
Directions for Honey Apple Chips:
Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper, and set aside. De-core apples, and slice them 1/8 inch thick (it’s easiest to use a mandolin).
Then place the apple slices on the baking sheets in a single layer. In a small bowl, mix together honey, melted butter or oil, cinnamon, and salt. Using a small pastry bush, spread mixture onto each apple slice (one side only). Place them on the middle rack of oven, and bake for 1 hour. After the hour is up, flip the slices, and place back in oven for another 1 hour and 25 minutes. Pull from oven and let cool on a cooling rack. They will finish crisping up once cooled. Store in an air-tight container for up to 3 days.
Ingredients for Rice Crispy Treats:
1 cup pitted dates
½ cup Nature Nate’s pure honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
6 Tbsp coconut oil
6 cups Rice Crispy cereal
Directions for Rice Crispy Treats:
In a food processor, combine pitted dates and honey, and puree until completely smooth. In a medium saucepan, melt the coconut oil on medium heat, then add the whipped date and honey mixture. Place the rice crispy cereal in a large, heat-proof mixing bowl. Pour the date and honey mixture over the cereal, and stir using a spatula until completely coated and combined.
Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 baking dish. With a spatula, gently press the mixture down until it’s even and flat. Place the baking dish in the refrigerator to cool for 30 minutes. Once chilled, flip the pan over onto to a cutting board, and cut into 3 inch squares. Serve cool.
