PORK MEATBALLS IN TOMATO SAUCE | SINARSAHANG BOLA-BOLA | KARINDERYA-STYLE MEATBALLS
This MEATBALLS IN TOMATO SAUCE is a dish that reminds me of my high school days. I remember having this for lunch every single day from my favorite karinderya in front of our school. I don't know but there's something in this dish that stands out from the other. Or maybe I am just a teenager that only knows how to eat then.
Glad I made my version today of this meatballs recipe and it's a pleasure to share it with you. Flavorful, tender, and incredibly juicy. Try this and your friends and family will love you more for it!
Here are the ingredients:
For the meatballs:
1 kilo ground pork
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 large onion, chopped finely
1 medium bell pepper, chopped finely
1 medium carrot, chopped finely
1/4 cup spring onion
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 1/2 tsp salt
4 tablespoon liquid seasoning
1 large egg
For the sauce:
cooking oil for frying
1 tsp annatto powder
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 large onion, chopped
1 large bell pepper, chopped
1 pouch tomato sauce, 200 grams
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp ground black pepper
2 cups water
1 piece pork broth cube
3 tbsp fish sauce, adjust accordingly
2 tbsp sugar
NOTES:
????Don't overmix the ground meat to avoid dense, firm texture. Mix the meat as little as possible as you add ingredients and other spices.
????I made 19 big meatballs in this recipe
????To avoid over-salted food. Gradually adding the ingredients and season it with a light hand is better than putting all at once.
???? This serves 6 to 8 persons
???? To each his own. This is my way of cooking and I hope you could respect it.
???? All the measurements are based on my taste. Please adjust accordingly!
???? Always cook with love! ❤️
