How To make Low Fat Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
Dough
:
1/2
cup
water, (70 to 80 degrees)
1
each
pear baby food, (4 oz jar)
2
each
egg whites
1/2
teaspoon
salt
2
cup
bread flour
1
cup
whole-wheat flour
3
tablespoon
sugar
1
tablespoon
milk, nonfat, dry powder
2
teaspoon
bread machine yeast
Filling
:
1
tablespoon
honey
1/4
cup
brown sugar, packed
2
teaspoon
cinnamon, ground
1/2
cup
raisins
Icing
:
1/2
cup
powdered sugar (sift before measuring)
1-2
teaspoon
milk
1/4
teaspoon
vanilla
Directions:
Measure all dough ingredients into bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer, adding baby food with liquids.
Process in dough/manual cycle. When cycle is complete, remove dough from machine and place on lightly floured surface. If necessary, knead in enough flour to make dough easy to handle. Using a rolling pin, shape dough into a 14x10 inch rectangle.
To prepare filling: Brush honey on dough. Evenly sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon and raisins. Beginning at long end, roll up tightly; pinch seam to seal. Cut into 8 equal pieces. Place, cut sides up, in greased 9 inch round cake pan or 7x11 inch baking pan. Cover; let rise in warm, draft-free place until doubled in size, about 30 to 45 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake rolls for 25 to 30 minutes or until done. Remove from pan; let cool on wire rack.
To make icing: In small bowl, combine powdered sugar, milk and vanilla. Stir until smooth. Drizzle on rolls.

CINNAMON ROLL RECIPE
Ingredients:
Dough:
2 cups whole wheat flour (240g)
1 cup ground oats or oat flour (100g)
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy) (240ml)
1 packet instant dry yeast (7g)
1 tbsp maple syrup, honey or agave
1 tbsp unsweetened applesauce
1 egg or flax egg
Filling:
3/4 cup dates (100g)
1/2 cup hot water (120ml)
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
Glaze:
1/3 cup coconut milk or coconut cream (80ml)
1 tbsp honey
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
NUTRITIONAL INFO (per roll - with no glaze):
153 calories, fat 1.6g, carb 30.4g, protein 4.7g
NUTRITIONAL INFO (per roll - with glaze):
174 calories, fat 3.1g, carb 32.2g, protein 4.9g
Preparation:
In a bowl, mix together the whole wheat flour, ground oats and salt. Set aside.
In lukewarm milk, add 1 packet of dry instant yeast, mix it up and add to the flour mixture.
Stir with the spoon, then add the sweetener, applesauce and whisked egg.
Knead the dough using a stand mixer or with your hand, do not over work it (for about 5 minutes).
Transfer the dough into a bowl, cover and let rise for 1 hour at room temperature.
While the dough is rising make the filling. Place the dates into a jar, cover with hot water and soak for 30 minutes. Add the cinnamon and blend into a smooth paste.
The dough should be double in size. Turn it out onto a floured or greased working surface, roll it out into a large rectangle.
Spread the filling over the dough and roll it out.
Cut into 12 equal slices using a sharp knife or dental floss.
Layer the individual rolls into a greased baking pan and let it proof for another 45 minutes.
Brush with the milk and bake for 20-25 minutes at 350F (180C), or until it just starts to brown.
While warm drizzle with topping.

????This is easy, low calorie Cinnamon rolls made with all healthy ingredients & absolutely guilt free. Prepared a 2 min glaze for it in blender. Tastes absolutely delicious & satisfies your sweet cravings. No more guilt for desserts.????
Ingredients: Makes 10 rolls
Flax egg
* 3 tbsp Water
* 1 tbsp Flax powder/meal
For the dough
* 2 cups Whole wheat flour
* 1 cup Oats flour
* 1/2 tsp Salt
* 1 cup Lukewarm milk(dairy/nondiary)
* 1 pack Instant Yeast(7g)
* 1 tsp Cinnamon powder
* 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
* Flax egg
Cinnamon Sugar:
* 15 Pitted/Deseeded Dates, soaked for 30 mins in warm water
* 1 tbsp Cinnamon powder
Other ingredients:
* Whole wheat Flour to dust
* Milk to brush
Glaze:
* 1/3 cup Milk powder
* 2 tbsp Raw powdered Sugar
* 3 tbsp Water
* 2 drops Lemon juice
Notes:
+ Bake @350F for 25 mins in a preheated oven.
+ Do not heat the Milk for long as it may kill the Yeast. Keep it in a warm place to make it raise quickly.
+ You can also add Sugar if you like to add. I made a low calorie version.
+ Let it raise twice for moist & soft Cinnamon rolls.
+ Instead of Milk glaze I prepared, you can also make thick coconut milk+honey glaze or cashew paste+ Maplesyrup + Lemondrops glaze for vegan version. You can also make the regular sugar glaze.
