3 pounds small pork ribs
1 part black pepper
1 part paprika
3 parts salt
***SAUCE*** 1 pint ketchup
1 1/2 pints water
1/3 cup flour
1 tablespoon salt
4 teaspoons sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 1/2 teaspoons liquid Barbecue SmokeAE
1 cup worcestershire sauce
Season the ribs with above mixture. Place ribs on the grill in any type of covered smoker or bbq pit, keeping away from direct heat so that the smoke does the cooking. Cook very slowly for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until meat comes away from bone easily. during the last 15 min. baste both sides of ribs with sauce. Cut ribs and serve.
To make sauce, combine ketchup and water in a large pot and bring to boil. Mix dry ingredients. Add mustard, liquid smoke, and half the worcestershire sauce. Stir into paste; then add the remainder of worcestershire sauce. Pour this into heated mixture and boil slowly for 20 min. Refrigerate any unused portion. Keeps for several weeks. Makes about 1qrt.

Ribs Smoked On The Lone Star Grillz 20x42 Offset Smoker
Ribs are my favorite way to break in a new cooker, and that’s exactly what I did, rubbing up 3 racks of St. Louis Cut Spareribs and smoking them with hickory wood on my new 20x42 Lone Star Grillz Offset Smoker. Some amazing BBQ sauce made by my neighbor was the perfect finish for these pork ribs.

Smoked BBQ ribs recipe | Dr. Pepper Style #BBQRibs #Ribs #ForScience #lonestar grillz
This smoked Dr. Pepper rib recipe is based off of a fairly traditional method for cooking ribs, 3-2-1 (I talk about this method in much more detail HERE). Basically, the ribs start out cooking for 3 hours exposed to smoked, 2 hours in a braising liquid, and 1 hour back on the smoker, typically slathered with sauce. By using this method, I was able to ensure perfectly tender and juicy ribs while also infusing that Dr. Pepper flavor into each step!
Ingredients:
1 Rack of pork spare ribs
1 cup of bbq sauce
1 tb spicy brown mustard
3 cloves minced garlic
1/2 can chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
1 cup brown sugar
14 oz Dr. Pepper

Pork Ribs On The Lone Star Grillz
In this video I cooked ribs on my new (new to me) Lone Star Grillz. This LSG runs like a champ. I also used rubs from John Henry and mopped them with the mop sauce from T&T BBQ. You can find links to the rubs and mop sauce I used. I highly recommend both.
