How To make Lone Star Brisket
6 lb Beef Brisket
well trimmed
2 Onions :
sliced
1 clove Garlic minced
3/4 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Vinegar
1 cup Ketchup
1 cup Water
1 Tbsp Salt
Pepper :
freshly ground
Place brisket in Dutch oven and brown on all sides. Add onions and garlic; saute until well browned. Add remaining ingredients. Cook, covered, until meat is tender, 2 1/2-3 hours.
Or, to prepare in a crockpot, brown brisket, onions, and garlic as above. Transfer all into large crockpot, along with remaining ingredients. Cook on low 10-12 hours or overnight or until meat is tender.

Backyard Brisket Experiment | Dry Salt Brine | Lone Star Grillz
In today's cook we have a backyard experiment... I wanted to see if its possible to salt brine a brisket overnight like I've done with other large cuts of beef and how it would compare to my normal Texas Style brisket. So you'll get to see this test on my Lone Star Grillz offset as I take it low and slow and cook with pecan wood. This will also be my first time cooking a brisket that was less than 9lbs and I tell you the results were phenomenal!!???????? This is a must see, I keep the recipe pretty simple but there are always a few twists!!????????
