How To make Lattice Topped Turkey Pie
2 c Turkey; cooked, chopped
10 oz Peas
4 oz Cheese, cheddar, shredded
1/2 c Bread crumbs
1/4 c Onions, chopped
1/4 ts Salt
1/8 ts Pepper, black
1 c Mayonnaise
1 cn Crescent dinner rolls
2 ts Seeds, sesame
Preheat oven to 350. Combine first 8 ingredients; mix well. Spoon into a 12"x8"x2" baking dish that has been sprayed with nonstick coating. Separate
crescent dough into rectangles; press perforations to seal. Cut into 4 long strips and 4 short strips. Arrange strips in lattice design across top of your casserole. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake 35 minutes. Garnish with radish slices and fresh parsley sprigs, if desired. Sylvia's comments: This was a big hit at our house -- only a little strip was left along one edge of the casserole! I used nonfat mayonnaise, and bet that nonfat yogurt would work just as well to cut down on fat. I was out of peas, so used corn. And I used leftover chicken instead of turkey. Save this one for a neat way to use up your leftover Thanksgiving turkey. ►2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour plus more to dust, *measured correctly
►1/2 Tbsp granulated sugar
►1/2 tsp sea salt
►1/2 lb COLD unsalted butter (2 sticks) diced into 1/4 pieces
►6 Tbsp ice water (6 to 7 Tbsp)

OLD SCHOOL TURKEY POT PIE
this is another simple way to use up that left over thanksgiving turkey
Its an awesome comfort dish on a chilly fall or winter night
Recipe
2# of cooked picked turkey meat
1 cup chopped onions
1 cup chopped celery
2 cups heavy cream
8 oz. frozen peas and carrots
1 sheet puff pastry
boil celery and onions
In 1 quart of water (or chicken stock)
Add cream to chicken stock celery and onions and cook for 10 minutes
Thickened with 1/2 cup roux( flour and butter mixture)
Add peas and carrots
season to taste with salt and pepper
Add picked turkey to baking dish
Pour filling over turkey
Cover with puff pastry
Brush with egg wash
Cook in 375 degree oven for 20-30 minutes

RECIPE:
Leftover Turkey Lattice Pie!
Line two 9-inch pie pans with pie crust and bake
just the crust for 5 to 7 minutes until light brown
In a large bowl mix:
4 cups of chunked turkey
2 cups of chopped broccoli
1 & 1/2 cups of Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 can (10 ½ oz.) of condensed Cream
of Chicken soup, undiluted
2 tbsp. Dijon Mustard
1 tbsp. dry minced onions
1 egg lightly beaten
1 & 1/3 cup of whole milk
¼ tsp. salt & ¼ tsp. pepper
Mix Well...
Note!..... If you want your 2 pies a little fuller,
you can use 4 & ½ cups turkey, 3 cups of broccoli,
1 & 1/2 cups of milk, and 1 more can of cream of
chicken soup.
Pour your mixture into the pie crusts then cut
your top crust into ¾ inch strips and make a lattice
pattern on top the pies. Mix 1 egg with a little milk
and brush the lattice strips with the egg wash.
Bake at 375 degrees for about 18 to 25 minutes or until
the crust is golden brown.
Let it cool a bit then serve! Enjoy!
