1 c Grated Swiss cheese 1/4 c Chopped bacon 1/4 c Chopped green onion tops 4 1/2 oz Can chopped ripe olives 1 ts Worcestershire sauce 1 ts Mayonnaise 36 Slices cocktail rye bread Fry bacon and crumble. Stir together cheese, bacon, olives, green onion, worcestershire sauce, and mayonnaise until well blended. Add more mayonnaise if necessary to make spreading consistency. Spread on rye bread slices. Bake in oven at 350 until hot.

THE INGREDIENTS
2-3 Dashes Angostura bitters 1/4 oz. Simple Syrup 1 oz. Bourbon 1 oz. Rye 2 Drops Saline Solution Orange and Grapefruit Peels Cherry Garnish
THE MIX
In a large mixing glass, add the bitters, simple syrup, bourbon, rye and saline solution. (the saline solution helps cut the bitterness) Add ice and stir. Strain into old fashioned glass with a large ice cube. Express the orange and grapefruit peels over the glass and add the peels to the drink. Place drink into a cocktail smoker and smoke for about ten seconds. Remove drink and garnish with a cherry.

Make a Rock and Rye Cocktail
Let's make a Rock and Rye cocktail. It's a great boozy drink that uses sugar and a little fruit juice to temper the strength of rye. I also think this forgotten cocktail is another reason that the old fashioned is made so many ways. Recipe: 2 ounces (60 ml) rye whiskey 1/2 ounce (15 ml) orange juice 1/4 ounce (7.5 ml) lemon juice 1 heaping bar spoon of uxardo cherries and the syrup 1/4 ounce (7.5 ml) gum syrup or rock candy syrup (2:1 ratio) 3 dashes bitters (optional) Combine everything in a cocktail tin, add ice, and shake for 20 seconds. Double strain into an old fashioned glass with ice. Garnish with an orange twist and a cherry. Cheers!
