How To make Hawaiian Honey Bread
Servings: 1
4 4 1/2 c. all purpose flour
2 pk quick rise yeast
1/3 c non-fat dry milk solids
1 ts salt
1/2 c pineapple juice
1/2 c water
1/3 c shortening
1/4 c honey
2 eggs
1 dr yellow food coloring
(optional) 1 egg, slightly beaten
1 TB water
In large mixer bowl, combine 2 1/4 cups flour, yeast, dry milk and salt; mix well. In saucepan, heat pineapple juice, 1/2 cup water, shortening and honey until warm (120-130 degrees); shortening does not need to melt. Add to flour mixture. Add 2 eggs and food coloring. Blend at low speed until moistened; beat 3 minutes at medium speed. By hand, gradually stir in enough remaining flour to make a soft dough. Knead on floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Place in greased bowl, turning to grease top. Cover; let rise in warm place about 15 minutes. Punch down dough. On lightly floured surface, shape into a round loaf. Place in greased 9" or 10" pie pan. Cover; let rise in warm place about 15 minutes. Combine egg and 1 tablespoon water; brush loaf. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown. Remove from pan; cool.

1 package slider rolls
1.5 sticks softened butter
1/4 cup honey
2 & 1/4 cup powdered sugar
2 tsp vanilla
8 oz softened cream cheese
Slice rolls in half. Mix together 1 stick butter, honey, 1/4 cup powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla. Spread mixture all over rolls. Sprinkle with cinnamon or pumpkin spice. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. While rolls are baking, in medium bowl, mix together cream cheese, remaining butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Let rolls cool about 15 minutes. Spread frosting inside and on top of rolls. Top with cinnamon sugar.

I love Kings Hawaiian Bread! I eat them as a side to a dish, as a sandwich or sliders and just enjoy them on its own. So i decided to try and make it from scratch!
Hawaiian bread, as you may have guessed, originated in Hawaii. Robert R. Taira created this sweet bread recipe, later named King's Hawaiian Rolls, in his bakery in the 1950s.

How to make the sweet Hawaiian Bread Rolls?
Here's what you'll need:
3½ cup all purpose flour (435g)
¼ cup brown sugar (55g)
2 tsp instant yeast (6g)
1 tsp salt (5g)
1 egg
1 cup pineapple juice (250ml)
1 tsp vanilla (5ml)
¼ cup softened butter (you can use salted or unsalted butter)
Plus melted butter to brush the bread
Eggwash: 1egg + 2 tablespoons of milk

This recipe yields 16 pieces of sweet bread rolls in 9x9square pan.
OVEN - Baking time may vary depending on your oven's specification. I'm using a conventional oven which heat rises from the bottom.
YEAST - Active dry yeast and instant yeast both help leaven bread and provide an airy, light texture, but they do so in slightly different ways and there's one major difference in how you use them: Active dry yeast needs to be dissolved in water before using, while instant yeast can be mixed right into dry ingredients.
