INGREDIENTS FOR THE POTATO TOPPING:
►2 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1” thick pieces
►3/4 cup heavy whipping cream, warm
►1/2 tsp fine sea salt
►1/4 cup parmesan cheese, finely shredded
►1 large egg, lightly beaten
►2 Tbsp butter, melted to brush the top
►1 Tbsp Chopped parsley or chives, to garnish the top
INGREDIENTS FOR THE FILLING:
►1 tsp olive oil
►1 lb lean ground beef or ground lamb
►1 tsp salt, plus more to taste
►1/2 tsp black pepper, plus more to taste
►1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped (1 cup)
►2 garlic cloves, minced
►2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
►1/2 cup red wine
►1 cups beef broth or chicken broth
►1 Tbsp tomato paste
►1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
►1 1/2 cups frozen vegetables of choice

Shepherd's Pie Recipe
Ingredients
2 Lbs Ground Beef
6-7 Medium Russet Potatoes
1 Small Onion, Chopped
1 To 1-1/2 Cups Frozen Peas & Carrots
4 Tbs Margarine Or Butter
3 Tbs All-Purpose Flour
2 Cups Water
1/2 Cup Whole Milk
1/4 Cup Graded Parmesan Cheese
1/4 Cup Philadelphia Cream Cheese
3-4 Tbs Ketchup
2 Tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 Beef Flavor Bouillon Cube
1 Tsp Minced Garlic
2 Tsps Salt
2 Tsps Black Pepper
1-1/2 Tsp Paprika
1 Tsp Sugar
1/2 Tsp Thyme
1/2 Tsp Parsley Flakes
Instructions
1. Place a pan over high heat and add ground beef.
2. Chop up onion and add to pan once ground beef browns.
3. Add the ketchup, worcestershire sauce, bouillon cube, minced garlic, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp paprika and thyme.
Stir in well.
4. Combine water and flour. Stir until flour dissolves.
5. Then add slurry to pan of ground beef.
6. Reduce heat to medium heat and allow meat to simmer until juice turns into a thick gravy.
7. Once gravy thickens, remove meat and gravy from pan and place in a baking pan.
8. Add the peas and carrots to the meat and stir in until well blended.
9. Peal the potatoes.
10. Slice and dice them into small even size shapes.
11. Place a pot of water over high heat. Once water comes to a boil add potatoes, cook for 20 minutes, then drain water.
12. Place the potatoes back in the pot and place pot over high heat. Mash potatoes and make sure potatoes are on the dry side before adding the ingredients. Then add your milk, cream cheese, margarine or butter and stir in well. Then add the graded parmesan cheese, egg yolk, sugar, the remaining salt and pepper then stir in again.
13. Place the potatoes over the ground beef and vegetables.
14. Smooth potatoes out with a fork.
15. For decoration purposes, garnish with 1/2 tsp paprika and parsley flakes.
16. Bake on 400 degrees for about 30 minutes.
Hachis Parmentier - French Ground beef and Homemade Mashed Potatoes Casserole -
“Hachis Parmentier” is a traditional French Casserole recipe. It’s basically a dish that combined ground beef layer and a creamy mashed potatoes layer, and topped with cheese. It’s a great combination that has amazing flavors, and the most important it’s a complete meal that you can serve at any time and any occasion. My recipe has special ingredients that makes it more delicious!!!
INGREDIENTS:
Ingredient for the ground beef
- 2 lbs of ground beef meat
- 1/3 cup of fresh finely chopped parsley
- 1/3 cup of fresh finely chopped cilantro
- 4 pressed garlic cloves
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp of ground coriander
- ½ tsp of oregano
- 1 tbsp of paprika
- 1 tsp of black pepper
- 1 tsp of salt to taste
- 2 medium onions finely diced, 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil, ¼ tsp of black pepper, and ½ tsp of salt to taste
Ingredients for mashed potatoes
- 4 lbs of potatoes (14 medium gold potatoes) peeled
- 1 ½ cups of hot milk (I used whole milk)
- 1 cup of unsalted butter at room temperature
- ¼ cup of Parmesan Cheese
- 1 tsp of onion powder
- ¼ tsp of black pepper
- ½ tsp of salt to taste
2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese for topping
INSTRUCTIONS:
Seasoning the ground beef
1- Finely chopped 1/3 cup of fresh parsley and 1/3 cup of fresh Cilantro
2- Press 4 garlic cloves
3- In a large bowl place 2 lbs of ground beef, add pressed garlic cloves, chopped parsley, chopped cilantro, ground cumin, ground coriander, oregano, paprika, black pepper, and salt to taste. Mix all the ingredients until well combined.
4- Cover your bowl with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes to let the ground beef to absorb all the flavors
Making Mashed potatoes
5- Peel the potatoes, wash them, then place them in a large pot. Cover the potatoes with cold water
6- Bring to a boil and cook partially covered until they become tender and easily pierced with a knife (boil 20-25 minutes depending the size of your potatoes) mine took 20 minutes
7- Remove the potatoes from the stove then drain them well in a strainer
8- Transfer them to a large bowl, bring your potato masher and mash them until they become smooth by adding little by little 1 and ½ cups of hot milk alternating with 1 cup of unsalted softened butter (add 2 tbsp at the time).
9- Your mashed potatoes will have a fluffy, whipped, and spreadable texture
10- Now add ¼ cup of Parmesan cheese, 1 tsp of onion powder, ¼ tsp of black pepper, and 1 tsp of salt to taste
11- Mix all the ingredients until well combined
Cooking the ground beef
12- Finely chopped the onions
13- Over medium heat place a large pan, drizzle 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil, once it’s hot add the onions and mix
14- Once the onions become soft season with ¼ tsp of black pepper and ½ tsp of salt to taste and mix
15- Saute the onions till they are soft and brown then add the ground beef to the pan
16- With a wooden spoon break the ground beef and mix to combine
17- Cook the ground beef until the meat is no longer pink and the water has evaporated
18- Place the ground beef in a medium bowl
Assemble the casserole
19- Preheat your over to 450 F
20- Butter a deep 9X13 baking pan or a casserole dish
21- Spread evenly the ground beef layer over all your pan and press it down with a spoon
22- Then layer mashed potatoes over the meat and spread it evenly
23- Sprinkle the 2 cups of mozzarella cheese on top of mashed potatoes layer
24- Place your pan in the center rack of your oven and bake for 20 minutes or until it’s golden brown
25- Remove your pan from the oven and let it rest for about 20 min before serving
26- Et Voilla! Bon Appetit!! Enjoy!!!

Ingredients:
For the meat mixture:
2 pounds (1kg) ground lamb
1 large onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, crushed
3 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp (30) flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 black pepper
1 tsp rosemary
1 tsp thyme
1 tbsp tomato paste
2 cups beef broth
7oz (200g) carrots
7oz (200g) peas (fresh or frozen)
For the puree:
3.5 pounds (1.5kg) potatoes
1 tbsp butter
1/2 cup (120ml) milk
1/4 cup (25g) cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 black pepper
egg yolk
Directions:
1. Peel the potatoes and cut into 4. Place in a medium pot and cover with cold water. Set over high heat, add a teaspoon of salt, cover and bring to a boil. cook until tender.
2. While the potatoes are cooking, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté 2-3 minutes, add crushed garlic and chopped carrots, sauté until the carrots are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the ground lamb, Cook until no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, chopped rosemary and thyme. Add tomato paste, flour and stir.
4. Add beef broth and frozen peas. Bring to a simmer, reduce heat to low and cook, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens.
5. When the potatoes are done cooking transfer them to a bowl. Add butter, milk, egg yolk, salt and pepper. mash the potatoes until smooth.
6. Preheat oven to 400F (200C).
7. Layer the meat mixture in a 13X8.5 (33X22cm) ovenproof dish. Spread the puree over the meat mixture.
8. Bake 20-25 minutes. or until mashed potato is golden brown.

It's sooo tasty! Now I just cook a delicious plate like this! This is the tastiest mashed potatoes recipe I've ever made! Oven-baked mashed potatoes with ground beef and cheese is a great dish. The mashed potatoes stuffed with ground beef and cheese recipe is very easy and quick to make! It doesn't take long to cook in the oven! This recipe is unrealistically tasty!
Recipe and Ingredients:
Mashed Potatoes:
Potatoes - 1,5kg
Put the diced potatoes on a pan with water, add salt to taste and cook it until tender.
Mix the cooked potatoes with 1 cup of milk and 3 tbsp of butter
Potato Stuffing:
Add olive oil on a pan and add the following ingredients:
1 Onion - diced
Minced Garlic - 2tbsp
Ground beef - 1kg
Let cook for 10 minutes
Add fresh parsley and spring onions
In a glass baking dish add a mashed potatoes layer, cover it with grated mozzarella, add a ground beef layer, another mashed potatoes layer and finally cover it with grated mozzarella.
Bake it for 40 minutes - 200° C
