Betty's Grape-Nuts Chocolate Drops
Betty demonstrates how to make Grape-Nuts Chocolate Drops. This is an easy recipe for chocolate candy that contains Grape-Nuts cereal.
Grape-Nuts Chocolate Drops
12-ounce package semisweet chocolate chips
14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup Grape-Nuts cereal
Place chocolate chips in large microwave-safe bowl. Cover with plastic wrap. Microwave on LOW power, stirring every 30 seconds, until chocolate is melted and smooth. Stir in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla. Add Grape-Nuts cereal and stir. Use a scoop or teaspoon to drop onto a shallow pan that is lined with waxed paper. Cool until firm. Enjoy! --Betty :)

Finally the great…I wanna say…taste(?)of Grape-Nuts in a sandwich. Yeah, I was highly skeptical about the Grapenut (sic) Sandwich from 1931’s The Household Searchlight Recipe Book. After all, Grape-Nuts are really more about texture than flavor. Still, it was an interesting journey with a surprising finish. Go figure.
