BBQ Bean and Oat Burgers
With bold flavors and a satisfying texture, these bean and oat burgers are a great meatless option for the grill.
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup cooked steel cut oats (125 ml)
1 medium onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 carrot, grated
1 tsp ground cumin (5 ml)
2 tsp chili powder (10 ml)
Salt, pinch
1/3 cup barbeque sauce (80 ml)
1 cup quick-cooking oats (250 ml)
1 19oz can of beans (black, pinto or kidney) (540 ml)
1 Tbsp canola oil (15 ml)

1/2cup | 90g | 3oz uncooked quinoa
1cup | 8fl oz water
1 large sweet potato
1/2 small head broccoli
3 spring onions
30g | 1oz fresh coriander
2tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder

Chickpea Patties (NO OIL) Recipe| How to Make Chickpea Patties @ Ela's Channel
These protein-packed, filling Chickpea Patties are a great option for Veggie Burgers, Sandwiches, & Veggie Wraps. Absolutely NO OIL, except that of greasing palms to form patties out of the chickpea mixture.
Note: May add 1/2 inch cinnamon stick, bay leaves, & black cardamoms while boiling chickpeas (kala chana) to enhance the flavor & nutrients in the recipe.

Black Bean Burgers
Here is what you will need!
RECIPE:
Yields 4 patties
Ingredients:
2 cans black beans, rinsed and drained
1 onion, minced
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 carrots, shredded
1/2 cup quick oats
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp cumin1/2 tsp coriander1/2 tsp chili powder1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a pan. Combine onions, garlic, salt, and pepper and cook until onions are translucent. Add carrots, cumin, coriander, chili powder, and cayenne pepper until carrots are tender. Remove pan from heat.
In a bowl, mash the beans and then add the contents of the pan along with the soy sauce and quick oats. Mix and form four patties. Place in freezer for 30 minutes to set. Cook patties on a pan coated in cooking spray over medium heat, flipping halfway. Use patties to create your dream veggie burger.

RECIPE
Ingredients:
For the patties:
1/2 cup Orange lentils
1-2 tablespoons Olive oil
2 Carrots, grated
1 Onion, chopped
2-3 Garlic cloves, crushed
1 Egg
1/4 bunch parsley, chopped
1 tablespoon Chives, chopped
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1 teaspoon Turmeric
1/2 teaspoon Cumin
1/2 cup (65g) Flour
For the dipping sauce:
1/3 cup (80g) Raw tahini (sesame seed paste)
1-2 tablespoons Lemon juice
2-3 tablespoons Water
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Directions:
1. In a small saucepan cook the lentil for 15 minutes. Drain and place in a large bowl.
2. In a medium size pan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil, add chopped onion and sauté for 5 minutes, add crushed garlic and sauté for 1- minutes more.
3. Transfer the onion and garlic to the bowl with the lentils. Add shredded carrots, salt, pepper, turmeric, cumin, chopped parsley and egg. Mix until well combined.
4. Add flour and mix. Shape into patties and cook in one of two ways:

6. Option 1: bake in pre heated 350F (180C) oven for 25-30 minutes.
7. Option 2: in a pan heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil. When oil is hot, add the patties to the pan and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
8. Make the tahini sauce: in a small bowl whisk all sauce ingredients until smooth.
9. Serve and enjoy!
