1 Brisket; sear on all sides -can use chuck roast; or -other cuts of pot roast 1 c Whole cranberry sauce 1 Dry onion soup 1/2 c Ketchup Ginger ale; to cover PUT IN ROASTER PAN WITHOUT lid and sear on high heat using oven w/ 450 degree heat. Turn after about 15 minutes. Now pour ingredients in w/ brisket and cover pan with lid or foil. Pour ginger ale halfway up pot. (Don't cover meat completely.) Cook at 350 F. for 2-1/2 hours covered. NOTE: This is the roast that comes out with a barbecued flavor and seems to be EVERYONE'S favorite. I made it first on Yuntiv '91. It is easy and a NO FAIL recipe.

Smoked Paprika Rub Recipe
Ingredients 1 tablespoon dry thyme 1 tablespoon ground black pepper 1 tablespoon ground cumin 1 tablespoon dry English mustard 2 tablespoons smoked paprika 2 tablespoons granulated garlic 4 tablespoons brown sugar 4 tablespoons kosher salt 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
Procedure: Measure & combine all ingredients. Just like with kindness, sprinkle like confetti. When not in use store in an airtight container. Enjoy

Holiday Brisket for Passover is Pure Nostalgia
These past few days inspired me to do a little dish that would bring me back to my childhood. This is currently Passover season and so I wanted to make a replica of a dish I often had at my grandmother's house. Jewish-style briskets are so delicious because the blend of tomato with brown sugar, wine and other ingredients makes the meat totally fall apart and form a delicious blend of spicy, sweet and salty awesomeness. Ingredients: 3 lb Brisket Flat Kosher Salt *24 dry brine to desired saltiness level
Pepper Crushed Garlic *season brisket generously then sear all sides with favorite oil of choice (i used veggie oil for this)
Make Sauce in Same Pan: 1 chopped onion 3 stalks celery diced 3 carrots diced *saute until browned *deglaze pan with 1/2 cup red wine and 1/2 cup beef broth, then add more crushed garlic 28 oz roasted tomato sauce 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar 1/2 cup brown sugar 2 bay leaves Paprika, Cayenne, Chili Powder (to desired heat level) *cook 10 minutes to combine
*Add sauce to new pan with brisket and bake for 3 hours on 350F covered *Remove from oven then cool and store in fridge overnight *Remove from fridge then slice and resubmerge in sauce *Reheat in oven at 350 for 30 minutes *Serve with Rice Pilaf and ENJOY!!!
