Fate Low Protein Pizza and Pizza Breads
You will need:
Fate Basic bread mixture.
Made up according to the Fate recipe, using 500g Fate Low Protein All Purpose Mix,
For video:
For topping of Fate Pizza, you will need:
3 – 4tbsp suitable jar tomato pasta sauce, or 2tbsp tomato passata mixed with 2tsp tomato purée
Sprinkling of dried Basil and dried Oregano to taste
Sliced onion
Sliced peppers
Sliced mushroom
Pitted black olives
And any other suitable vegetables!
For topping of Fate Garlic Pizza bread, you will need:
2 – 3 cloves Garlic, chopped or grated
2tbsp chopped fresh parsley
This amount will give you more than you need for just one pizza bread. Any leftover should be wrapped well and frozen to be used in other cooking and for making Garlic bread.
For topping of Fate Cheezy Pizza Bread, you will need:
1 small pack of Cheese flavoured Quavers (1/2 exchange)
2tbsp light Mayonnaise
This will make it 1/2 exchange for the whole pizza bread.
Fate Pizza Breads freeze well. Defrost before reheating in the oven or microwave. Pizza and Pizza breads are great served hot or cold.
These recipes are freely allowed. please ask your dietitian if you are unsure.
BLACK BEAN QUESADILLAS | Easy Quesadilla Recipe
This Easy Black Bean Quesadilla recipe is definitely one of my favorites! Soft cooked vegetables on the inside and a crispy tortilla shell on the outside. Black Beans and corn are the star of the show. But you can definitely kick it up a notch by adding some sautéed bell peppers. Top it all off with your favorite toppings like sour cream, salsa and avocado!
Perfect for Meatless Mondays, Meal Prep and Vegetarian or Vegan meals.

YFL’s take on Desi Quesadilla
For the samosadilla filling:
• 1 tbsp. oil
• 1 tsp. cumin seeds (Jeera)
• 1 tbsp. ginger garlic paste
• 1 tsp. red chili powder
• 1 tsp. coriander powder
• ½ tsp. garam masala powder
• A pinch of hing (Asafetida)
• 1 tsp. aamchur (Raw Mango Powder)
• ½ tsp. Fennel Powder (Saunf Powder)
• 1 tsp. chopped green chilies
• 1 cup boiled potatoes
• ¼ cup boiled green peas
• Salt to taste
• Fresh coriander
For assembling the samosadilla:
• Chapati
• Inion rings
• Tamarind chutney
• Mint chutney
• Mozzarella cheese
• Oil to grease pan
Method:
• Heat a pan on medium heat, add some oil.
• Now add some cumin seeds and sauté until fragrant.
• Now add ginger garlic paste and all the spices and green chilies and sate for 2-3 minutes.
• Now add in the boiled potatoes and green peas. Cook for 5-7 minutes. Add some water if the filling is to dry or sticking to the pan.
• Season with salt and finish with some freshly chopped coriander.
For assembling the samosadilla:
• Now take a fresh or leftover chapati and place some samosa filling on top, add some onion rings, tamarind chutney and mint chutney. Top and cover with another chapati.
• Heat a grill pan and grease with some oil. Grill the samosadilla on both the sides.
• Cut into quarters and enjoy the samaosadilla with some tamarind and mint chutney.
