1 pound flank steak, trimmed
3/8 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Cooking spray
1 teaspoon canola oil
1 1/2 teaspoons minced fresh garlic
2 tablespoons lower-sodium soy sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
3/4 teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro, divided

Bourbon-Marinated Flank Steak Recipe - LeGourmetTV

This is a great recipe for those of you who enjoy the slightly bitter tang of Dijon mustard. This steak is great with vegetables for supper, or on a bun as a sandwich for lunch. You can fry this stovetop in a grill pan, over charcoal on your backyard grill.
Ingredients:
¼ cup (50 mL) bourbon
¼ cup (50 mL) Dijon mustard
¼ cup (50 mL) packed brown sugar
4 tsp (20 mL) Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp (2 mL) coarse salt
¼ tsp (2 mL) freshly ground black pepper
1 pound (500g) flank steak
Method:
Combine bourbon, mustard, sugar, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper; mix well.
Pour marinade in a shallow dish and add the steak, coating well.
Allow to marinate at room temperature for at least ½ hour.
The steak can be marinated for up to 24 hours; just cover and refrigerate while marinating.
Once steak has marinated, heat a fry pan or outdoor BBQ to medium high.
Cook steak for 5 to 6 minutes per side for medium rare (130ºF internal temp).
Remove to a cutting board cover with foil and let rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
Deglaze pan with marinade and cook to create a pan sauce.
Season with additional salt and pepper, slice thinly across the grain, and serve.

Grilled skirt steak with chimichurri sauce is arguably the best easy dinner recipe during summer! The steak is meltingly tender, topped with savory herbaceous goodness, and made in under 30 minutes.
Steak served with chimichurri (also known as churrasco) is one of my favorite Latin American dishes. You'll probably see it on fancy dinner menus, but honestly, this homemade version is just as good. Especially with this fresh, homemade chimichurri sauce. And for an authentic chimichurri sauce, you definitely need to chop all ingredients by hand (this is how they do it in Argentina and Uruguay).

INGREDIENTS
1.5 lb flank steak (substitute skirt steak)
extra virgin olive oil (substitute vegetable oil)
soy sauce
Champagne vinegar (substitute white or red wine vinegar)
lime, juiced
honey
dijon mustard
garlic, minced
black pepper, ground
ginger, minced (optional)
red pepper flakes (optional)
cilantro, fresh chopped (optional)
HOW TO MAKE THIS STEAK MARINADE
- Whisk together steak marinade ingredients.
- Reserve ¼ cup of steak marinade for serving later.
- Add cilantro and flank steak to marinade.
- Marinate for at least 2 hours in the fridge.
- Sear / grill / broil marinated steak to to desired temperature.
- Rest for 10 minutes.
- Slice and serve with reserved steak marinade.
