Date Pecan & Cacao Balls
In our house these balls are made as a snack. My daughters all play sport and these balls are packed full of energy and natural fibre when they need a boost. The cacao powder gives them a slight chocolate taste. Remember to treat them as a snack as dates are also high in calories.
Date, Pecan & Caco Balls
Makes about 17 balls
Ingredients
115g/4oz pecans
200g/7oz Medjool dates, remove pips
2 tbsp raw organic cacao powder
Method
Place all the ingredients in a food processor and blend until a crumbly consistency.
Scoop out a tablespoon of mixture and make a ball with your hand.
Drop a few balls into a container with a little extra cacao powder and shake to coat the ball.
I can’t tell you how long they will keep as they only last a day or two at our house.

Pecan Balls Recipe | No Bake Energy Bites - VEGAN
This pecan balls recipe makes no-bake energy bites taste like pecan pie! Also known as protein bites or protein balls, they're portable snacks for school, post workout, pre workout or any time! They're also gluten-free so now you have another gluten free dessert available for you or someone you know.
You can use these in a dressier setting too! I like to decorate a bowl of vegan ice cream (Www.chickpea.link/Veganicecream) with a smaller version of these pecan balls. Another option would be to make a few other types of energy balls and serve them on an assortment plate. It doesn't matter how you eat them, really, because they're a favourite every time.
INGREDIENTS:
8-10 Medjool dates
1/2 cup pure nut butter
1-2 tsp vanilla extract
Salt to taste (start with 1/2 tsp)
1 1/2 cups unsalted pecan halves
PREPARATION:
Use the food processor to mix the dates and almond butter until they’re crumbly.
Add the pecans, vanilla and salt.
Process until everything is crumbly.
Roll into balls.

Laddu or laddoo (Hindi: लड्डू) is a spherical sweet originating from the Indian subcontinent. Laddus are primarily made from flour, fat (ghee/butter/oil) and sugar. Laddus are often made of gram flour but can also be made with semolina. Sometimes ingredients such as chopped nuts and/or dried raisins are also added. The type of ingredients used may vary by recipe.Laddus are often served during festive or religious occasions. Common flours used for laddu include gram flour (chickpea flour), wheat semolina, dry fruits and ground coconut. These are combined with sugar and other flavorings, cooked in ghee, and molded into a ball shape. Some laddu recipes are prepared using Ayurvedic medicinal ingredients, including methi laddu, multigrain, and resin laddu. Nuts such as pistachios and almonds are commonly stuffed into laddus. |

fry for few minutes at medium heat
60 g walnuts(2.11 oz)
roast walnuts for few minutes at medium heat
80 g pitted dates(2.82 oz)
75 g dark chocolate(2.65 oz)
