How to make croutons from stale bread ???? EASY vegan homemade croutons recipe
DON’T TOSS STALE BREAD! ???? Instead, turn it into delicious croutons with @lexi.harpin’s simple recipe:
INGREDIENTS ⬇️ 4 c. stale bread, cubed 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. onion powder 1/2 tsp. dried parsley 1/2 tbsp. nutritional yeast (optional) salt + pepper olive oil
STEPS ⬇️ Preheat oven 375° F 1.) Add your cubed stale bread to a large bowl (or do this all directly on a baking sheet) and add the garlic powder, onion powder, nutritional yeast, dried parsley, and a generous pinch of salt + pepper. Toss to coat. 2.) Next add the bread onto a large baking sheet then drizzle ~ 3-4 tbsp. olive oil on top. Toss once more to fully coat in seasonings/oil. 3.) Spread out the bread using your hands to create space between each one. If your pan is overcrowded, they won’t crisp up as well! Bake for 15-20 minutes or until crunchy. Keep an eye on them! They can burn very easily and baking times can vary depending on how stale your bread is. 4.) Once finished baking let croutons cool. Once completely cooled add to a jar with a lid and use them as needed. Enjoy!
