How To make Cornmeal Waffles with Chili Topping
3/4 c Whole wheat flour
1/2 c Cornmeal
1 t Salt
2 t Baking powder
1 c Lowfat soy milk
1 T Oil
CHILI TOPPING:
x Vegetable cooking spray 1 lg Onion, chopped
1 Green pepper, chopped
1 T Chili powder
2 c Cooked pinto or kidney
Beans This chili topping is also good with the Spicy Corn Pancakes. The chili topping can be made in advance and reheated once the waffles are hot. Mix flour, cornmeal, salt, and baking powder. Add soy milk and oil and stir gently until well blended. Heat waffle iron, pour in the appropriate amount of batter for your specific model, and spread to the edges of the waffle iron. Close and cook until gently browned. Serve immediately. For Chili Topping: Spray nonstick skillet with vegetable cooking spray and saute onion and pepper over medium heat for 3-4 minutes or until translucent. Add chili powder and beans and cook 5 minutes over medium heat. Pour chili topping over cornmeal waffles. CHILI WAFFLE CONE!!!
Hand held chili in a corn meal waffle cone! Every bite is a party for your mouth. Recipe below

RECIPE
1 pound of ground beef
1 cup of tomato sauce
1 cup of stewed tomatoes
1 tablespoon of chili powder cumin, oregano, salt and pepper.
1 chopped hot dog.
1/2 chopped onion
1 minced clove of garlic
WAFFLE CONE
1/4 cupo of all purpose flour
1/4 cup of corn meal
1/2 cup of milk
2 tablespoons of melted butter
1 egg
1/4 cup of hot sauce
1/4 cup of chopped green onions, sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese.

Step 1
Brown the ground beef in a pot. When there is no more red in the meat, add the onions and cook until they are soft.
Step 2
Add the hot dogs and cook for a few minutes.
Step 3
Add the can of tomatoes and the seasoning. Simmer until there is no longer moisture in the pot.
WAFFLE CONES
Step 4
In a bowl, combine the flour, salt and corn meal.
Step 5
In another bowl, combine the egg, milk and hot sauce. Mix together the wet with the dry until you have a consistent batter.
Step 6
Heat the waffle maker, and fry the waffles. Using the waffle cone mould, shape the cone.
Step 7
Scoop chili into the cone. Garnish with cheese, sour cream and green onions.
