Rice Krispie Scotcheroos Bars #recipe #butterscotch #chocolate #nobake #dessert
This Rice Krispie Scotcheroo Bars recipe is a classic no bake dessert with a chocolate topped krispies. The best peanut butter, chocolate and butterscotch combination.
The first time I had a scotcheroo bar was at a church potluck. I mean that is one of the best places to test and try new recipes and foods, right? Although you’ll often find me with a homemade cookie in hand, it’s candy that is my true love.
And that’s why I love these Rice Krispie Scotcheroo Bars. They’re not a baked dessert. It is a sweet, lightly crisp candy style bar with amazing flavor. If you’ve never had one, make them, then thank me for introducing them to you. ????

Scotcharoos
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Corn Syrup
1 Cup Peanut Butter
6 Cups Rice Krispies
1 Cup Chocolate Chips
1 Cup Butterscotch Chips
1-Make sure you have all the ingredients, clean your work area, and wash your hands.
2-In a large pot, mix your sugar and corn syrup together.
3-Cook on the stove at a medium-high heat until the granules from the sugar have dissolved.
4-Take off the heat and add the peanut butter and mix.
5-Add the Rice Krispies next and mix all together.
6-Spray a 9x13 pan (I prefer pyrex), and dump all of the Rice Krispy mix in. Spread it around and flatten until smooth.
7-Meanwhile, add the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips to a microwave safe bowl. Melt 30 seconds at a time until smooth.
8-Spread the melted chips over the Rice Krispies and smooth it out.
9-Let the chocolate harden. I like to put it in the fridge for about 30 minutes. After the chocolate has hardened you can cut it up into the desired size.
10-Clean up the mess.
11-Eat, Share, Enjoy!!!

Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats!! PB Crispy Bar Recipe
Learn how to make soft and sweet peanut butter rice krispie treats!! Topped with milk chocolate, these are not your ordinary rice krispie treat recipe. Including tips on how to keep them soft and sticky. Enjoy!
Recipe:
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup granulated sugar
1 Tbsp water
1 cup smooth peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
6 cups rice krispies (a.k.a 'crisp rice cereal')
2 cups milk chocolate chips (or chocolate of your choice)
Line an 8 x 8 baking dish (for thick treats) or a 9 x 13 (for thin treats) with foil. Grease foil with vegetable oil, butter or shortening. Set aside.
In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine corn syrup, sugar and water. Stir constantly until the mixture JUST bubbles around the edges of the pan. Remove from heat immediately and stir in peanut butter, vanilla and salt.
Pour over cereal in a large bowl and fold gently to coat the cereal.
Transfer mixture to prepared baking pan and let cool.
While mixture is cooling, melt chocolate in a bowl over barely simmering water while stirring constantly until half way melted. Remove from heat and continue stirring until chocolate is smooth. (alternatively melt chocolate in microwave by nuking in 30 second intervals, stirring between each just until chocolate is melted. Continue stirring until smooth).
Pour melted chocolate over treats and spread out to a uniform layer. Let cool and cut into pieces. Makes 16-24 treats. Enjoy!
