Best Chili Winchester Virginia Food Tour
The Winchester Food Tour brings Tasting Tuesday in-house to try to find the best chili in Winchester, Virginia out five local restaurants (some chain, some not-so-chain). Our five samples come from these five local Winchester, Virginia eateries: Wendy's, Glory Days, Chili's, Cork Street Tavern, and Cafe Del Sol!
Now we completely understand and agree that chili purveyors treat a fine chili as a labor of love. We also get that unless you're at a local establishment that is making down-home chili from some super-secret family recipe, you can't be bothered.
And that's just fine. But desperate times may call for desperate measures, and you have an undeniable, unstoppable urge to stop someplace on the road and get some chili in you RIGHT NOW! And of course, logistically it worked out well for us, so you'll have to live with these five samples from in and around Downtown Winchester, Virginia.
So Anthony, being the hunter/gatherer of the team, cruised around Winchester to pick up today's five samples. However, for Misty the taste test was truly blind. Anthony knew from where each sample originated, but let his taste buds do the sampling to come up with his final selection of the five.
As regular participants (both entrant and a taster/judge) at their annual neighborhood chili contest, these two love a great chili. They make it themselves quite regularly and are always willing to try samples from anyone willing to invest the time to make it and the generosity to offer it!
Watch the video to find out more... see if Misty ultimately chooses her road food go-to, Wendy's Chili, or if something from the bigger chains like Chilis and Glory Days make the cut, or something more home grown from the Cork Street Tavern tops the list...
