How To make Ceci
1 lb Garbanzo beans
1/2 c Unsalted butter
2 tb Vegetable oil
1 tb Garlic; minced
2 tb Curry powder
1 ts Coriander
1/2 ts Cumin
1/2 ts Ginger; or more
Salt to taste Recipe by: The Bean Cookbook, by Judith Choate Soak, rinse, and cook chick peas. Do not allow beans to get too soft. When tender but still firm, remove from heat and drain well. Pat dry. Preheat oven to 375F. Melt butter in medium-sized saucepan over low heat. Add vegetable oil and garlic and allow to sit for 5 minutes, keeping warm. Pour butter into large baking tray with sides. Spread dried chick peas on tray. Bake 15 minutes, turning frequently, or until chick peas are golden. While chick peas are baking, combine spices and herbs. When chick peas are done, remove from oven and sprinkle with herbs and spices and toss to coat. Serve warm. ~- The cookbook also suggests that other combinations of herbs and spices would work, for example, a combination of chili powder, cumin, and cayenne.

Ingredients
500 g peas (chickpeas)
2 pcs red bell pepper
20 ml vegetable oil(+:-)
1 pc red onion
Green onion
Dill
Cilantro
15 ml vegetable oil (olive oil)
1.5 tablespoons lemon juice

Ingredients:-
1 pound of dry chickpeas (453 grams)
2 large cloves of garlic
Pasta Mista or small pasta shape 1/3 cup per person
Extra virgin olive oil 1 tsp per person or olio Santo (video link in the description below)
Salt to taste
Small sprigs of fresh parsley
Directions:-
Step#1- Sort and rinse the dried chickpeas. In a large pot of water let your chickpeas soak overnight.
Step#2- In a large pot with 4.5-quart water add your rinsed chickpeas.
Step#3- Add your garlic and bring it to a boil. Only use wood utensils. Lower your heat to a low boil and let them cook for 1 1/2 hours.
Step#4- Taste the chickpeas and if cooked add your water.
Step#5- Strain some of the chickpeas so you remove some of the skins and it creates creaminess.
Step#6- For every person use one cup of the chickpeas and liquid with 1/3 of the pasta.
Step#7- Keep stirring until pasta is cooked. Chop some fresh parsley in it.
Step#8- It should be thick and creamy. Serve drizzled with 1 tsp of extra virgin olive oil per plate or with olio Santo.

Creamy Pasta with Chickpeas Easy Recipe
Oggi prepariamo insieme la pasta e ceci, una ricetta facile da preparare, realizzata con ingredienti semplici e genuini, la mia versione della classica pasta e ceci tradizionale, un antica ricetta che mette tutti d’accordo a tavola. Ho scelto di rendere la pasta ancora più saporita e deliziosa grazie alle Regionali Bio, la prima linea Cannamela di erbe e spezie biologiche 100% italiane di provenienza regionale ed ho utilizzato il Rosmarino di Sicilia Bio Cannamela, la Salvia di Sicilia Bio Cannamela e il Mix Creola Cannamela. La pasta e ceci è perfetta da preparare per un pranzo in famiglia o per degli amici vegetariani perché con la classica pasta di ceci non si sbaglia mai in cucina.

Chickpea Soup Recipe: Zuppa di Ceci
This rustic, traditional Italian chickpea soup, also known as Zuppa di Ceci, is perfect to enjoy during the colder months. We've given the chickpea soup a hearty spin by adding chicken, however you can make this into vegetable soup by leaving out the chicken. If you plan on making this chickpea stew, make sure you leave the garbanzo beans to soak over night and cook them as specified on the package. Once you've soaked the garbanzo beans overnight, the soup only takes 20 minutes to put together and serve. If you're looking for a quick, hearty meal to have with family, this soup is sure to be a hit.
The chickpea soup ingredients are simple. In a large soup pot, you start with the olive oil. Other ingredients you will need are a yellow onion, minced garlic, a carrot, parmesan, escarole and a shell shaped pasta. As for spices, the chickpea soup calls for minced rosemary, sage, salt, pepper and red pepper. The soup also calls for chicken broth, however you can substitute for vegetable broth if you have any vegetarians. You will also need some white wine to add to your chickpea stew to give it more flavor. Easy to put together, you’ll love to enjoy this chickpea soup recipe when it’s cold outside. Once the soup is ready to serve, pair with an Italian loaf and red wine for a taste of Italy!
