Thermos cooking (beans)
Thermos cooking. How to cook in a Thermos. I searched the Internet including YouTube and everyone was successful cooking noodles and rice but no one had any success cooking beans. My theory is they didn't pre boil the beans, or they didn't give it enough time. The longest time I found anyone leaving the beans in was 8 hours. I also attribute my success to the fact that the stanley thermos was the only one used in the vids and blogs I researched and quite frankly the Stanley can't hold a candle to the heat retianing ability of the Nissan thermos. Look for a side by side comparison of the two thermos coming soon (as soon as I find where in the hell I put it) thermal cooking energy savings thermos cooking save energy green cooking beans

How To Make Black Bean Salsa - Black Bean Corn Salsa
This Black Bean and Corn Salsa is a great Recipe whether you are eating it with chips, adding it to a salad or just eating it plain. Just like most Salsa Recipes this Recipe can be modified to whatever your personal preference is. Below are the ingredients I used, but I change this recipe up quite a bit depending on how I am feeling and what I am cooking. If you don't want to roast your corn, adding canned corn will still work, but may lack the flavor that roasted corn brings to this Black Bean Corn Salsa.
Ingredient I used for my Black Bean Salsa:
* 15 Ounce Can Black Beans Rinsed
* 3 Ears Corn Roasted
* 1/4 Cup Chopped Cilantro
* 3 Diced Tomatoes
* 1 Diced Avocado
* 4 Jalapeno Peppers
* 1 Diced Red Onion
* Juice of 1 Lime
* ! Tsp. Red Wine Vinegar
*Salt, Pepper and Cumin To Taste

Rick Bayless Mole: Mole Coloradito with Runner Beans
This traditional Oaxacan specialty that pairs runner beans with one of the famous seven moles may seem like a lot of work for a pot of beans. Alone this simple mole has many uses: It makes a great sauce for enchiladas, tamales, grilled chicken, braised pork loin and so forth.
But in combination with the great big, beautiful and creamy lima-shaped runner beans, the dish is classically brilliant.
