How To make Black Forest Trifle Dessert
1/2 pk Devil's food cake mix
1/2 c Rum
21 oz Can cherry pie filling
CHOCOLATE CUSTARD:
2/3 c Sugar
1/4 c Cocoa
1/8 ts Salt
3 Eggs, beaten
2 c Milk
1 Toppings
1 c Whipping cream
2 tb Powdered sugar
1/4 c Sliced almonds, toasted
Prepare cake mix according to package directions; cut into 1/2 inch slices. Line bottom of 2 quart bowl of trifle dish with half of cake slices; sprinkle with 2-4 tbsp. rum. Spoon half of cherry pie filling over cake; top with half of choclate pudding. Repeat procedure with remaining cake, rum, pie filling and custard. Cover and chill. Beat whipping cream until foamy; gradually add powdered sugar, beating until soft peaks form. Spread over custard; garnish with almonds. CHOCOLATE CUSTARD: Combine first 3 ingredients in top of double boiler. Combine eggs and milk, gradually stir into dry mixture. Bring water in double boiler to a boil, reduce heat to low and cook custard, stirring constantly until thick. Cool. Dessert yields 6-8 servings.

Hey folks! Today I made a festive black forest trifle! A lovely take on a traditional trifle but with all the black forrest flavours!
Everything I used will be listed below.

Makes enough for 6-8 people
Chocolatey Custard layer -
150g (5 oz) Dark chocolate, broken into all bits
500ml (17 floz) Vanilla custard - Home made is best, but ready made is just as delicious :)
Cream layer -
600ml (20 floz) Double, whipping or heavy cream
3 Tablespoons icing sugar
1/2 Teaspoon almond flavouring (optional)
The Cakey Layer -
2 Small Swiss rolls or chocolate cake of your choice
6-8 Tablespoons of Kirsch (optional) or similar cherry liquor
Other things you’ll need -
500g (15 oz) Cherries in Kirsch, cherries in syrup or canned cherries
A Few fresh cherries to decorate - optional
200g (7 oz) Cherry jam
30g (1 oz) Chocolate of your choice - I cut up a Cadburys flake bar :)
200g (5oz) Whipped cream for the top - completely optional!
Chocolate sprinkles

This super delicious and easy-to-make black forest will be eaten in seconds! The divine combination of chocolate pudding, cream and Swiss rolls will make everyone ask for more! Very simple with only 4 ingredients, ready in no time.
This great dessert idea is perfect for parties or for when you don't have time to make a cake.
Only a few simple ingredients and this amazing dessert is ready to eat straight away!
INGREDIENTS
Chocolate Swiss rolls - 250g
Whipping cream - 600 ml
Sugar - 1/4 cup
Vanilla pudding mix - 1 packet
Milk - 500 ml
Thickened cream - 50ml
Milk chocolate - 50g
Pineapple and cherries
Shaved chocolate
STEPS:
1. Whip whipping cream with sugar until stiff peaks form (I have used #harveyfresh whipping cream).
2. Make pudding according to packet instructions (I have used #droetker instant vanilla pudding mix). Melt chocolate (I have used #cadbury) 50 ml whipping cream and add it to this mixture. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
3. Layer Swiss rolls (I have used #coles chocolate Swiss rolls) in a serving dish followed by cream, pudding and fruit. Repeat the layers and end with whipped cream on top.
4. Serve chilled.
