Black Forest Gateaux cake recipe & bake with me :)
Hey guys :) Welcome back to What's for tea, and here's the fifth instalment of my festive food & drink ideas :) You really can't go wrong with a Black Forest gateaux/cake....lovely combination of chocolate cake, cherries and cream....yum! I've listed the ingredients below if you want to give it a go. I've a wee 'Hot Toddy' recipe coming this afternoon and Meals of the week later on tonight :) Thanks for popping over. I Used-
2 Tablespoons Morello cherry jam
4 Tablespoons Icing/powdered sugar
240ml Whole milk
500g Canned cherries in syrup
1 Pint of double or whipping cream
265 Grams plain/all purpose flour
65 Grams cocoa powder
500 Grams Caster sugar (400g for the cake, and 100g for the cherries)
2 Teaspoons cornstarch/cornflour
8-10 Fresh cherries (for decoration)
1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
Some white & dark chocolate (for decoration)
3 Medium eggs
120ml Vegetable oil
1 Teaspoon each of salt, baking powder & bicarb of soda
FOR THE COFFEE ICING:
1 Teaspoon coffee flavouring or two teaspoons strong espresso
340 Grams Sifted icing sugar
150 Grams Unsalted room temperature butter
3 Tablespoons whole milk
(Just beat eveything together in a mixer until smooth & combined :)

Today you'll learn how to make Black Forest Cake
you'll need following ingredients to make this yummy cake
4 eggs
100g sugar
pinch of salt
1tbsp vanilla essence
1/4 cup oil
3/4 cup flour
1/4 cup dutch processed coco powder
whipping cream 1 cup
melted chocolate 1/2 cup
fresh cherries
chocolate ganache
sugar syrup (1/4 cup sugar)(1 cup water)

Black Forest Cake Recipe
Hello lovelies! This will be my last video of 2019. Today, I will show you how to make an easy Black Forest Recipe. I hope you all had an amazing 2019 and much more wonderful and blessed 2020 ahead of us.
Here's what you'll need:
Sugar 1¾cup (350g)
All purpose flour 1¾cup (220g)
cocoa powder 1 cup (100g)
baking powder 1½ tsp (8g)
baking soda 1½ tsp (8g)
salt 1 tsp (5g)
2 large eggs
oil ½ cup (30g)
milk 1 cup (245g)
vanilla 2 tsp (10g)
Cream Cheese Frosting:
whipping cream 2 cups (464g)
icing sugar 2 tbsp (18g)
cream cheese (200g)
Canned and pitted cherries ( 2 cups)
Chocolate shavings- about 200grams. You can use dark chocolate, chocolate couverture or any chocolate you prefer. I used milk chocolate in this video because that is the only available chocolate in my kitchen ;D
8 round pan--Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25-30 minutes.

Ingredients:
Prepare Plain Cake:
-Maida (All-purpose flour) 2 Cups (250g)
-Namak (Salt) ½ tsp
-Baking powder 2 tsp
-Doodh (Milk) ¼ Cup
-Instant coffee ½ tsp
-Nurpur Butter unsalted 200g (room temperature)
-Bareek cheeni (Caster sugar) 1 Cup
-Anday (Eggs) 4 (room temperature)
-Vanilla essence ½ tbs
Prepare Coffee Butter Frosting:
-Sugar 2 Cups
-Cream 2 tbs
-Instant coffee 2 tbs
-Nurpur Butter unsalted 150g (room temperature)
-Namak (Salt) 1 pinch
-Vanilla essence ¼ tsp
-Bareek cheeni (Caster sugar) ¼ Cup
-Instant coffee ½ tsp
-Hot water ½ Cup
-Badam (Almonds) chopped
Directions:
Prepare Plain Cake:
-In a bowl,place sifter,add all-purpose flour,salt,baking powder,sift all dry ingredients together then mix well & set aside.
-In milk,add instant coffee,whisk well & set aside.
-In a bowl,add butter & beat until fluffy.
-Add caster sugar & beat again.
-Add eggs,one by one & beat after each addition.
-Add half quantity of dry ingredients & beat on low speed.
-Add prepared coffee milk,vanilla essence & beat again.
-Add remaining dry ingredients and beat on low speed until well combined.
-Grease 9” inch baking pan with butter and line with butter paper.
-Pour cake batter on greased baking pan and tap few times.
-Bake in preheated oven at 180C for 40 minutes.
-Take out cake from the oven & let it cool on a wire rack.
Prepare Coffee Butter Frosting:
-In a spice mill,add sugar and grind to make a powder then sift & set aside.
-In a bowl,add cream,instant coffee,whisk well & set aside.
-In a bowl,add butter & beat until it changes color.
-Gradually add powdered sugar,salt & beat well.
-Add cream & coffee mixture,vanilla essence & beat until well combined then transfer to a piping bag.
-In a small jug,add caster sugar,instant coffee,hot water,mix well & set aside.
-Trim a thin layer from the top of sponge cake with a serrated knife and then horizontally cut a layer of cake.
-Place first layer of cake on a cake stand,add coffee syrup,add & spread coffee butter frosting,almonds and place top layer of cake over it.
-Add & spread coffee syrup and coffee butter frosting & frost the outside of the cake with coffee butter frosting.
-Apply chopped almonds on the sides of the cake.
-Refrigerate until chilled.
-Cut into desired slices & serve!
