Beef and Noodle Casserole - Italian Pasta Bake - Recipe
The Wolfe Pit make a very simple, one dish comfort meal of beef, mushrooms,tomato sauce and elbow noodles.
Ingredients
1.5 lb - Ground Beef
2 tsp - Granulated Garlic
1 TBS - Dried Minced Onion
1 tsp - Salt
1 tsp - Black Pepper
1 tsp - Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
1 tsp - Oregano
7oz - Canned Mushrooms w/juice
24 oz - Spaghetti Sauce
24 oz - Water
8 oz - Dry Uncooked Elbow Macaroni
1.5 Cups - Mozzarella Cheese

Who remembers eating this nostalgic dish at Grandma's house? Creamed chipped beef may not be so common anymore, but this classic dish – made popular in the military for its filling, hearty use of dried beef – found itself a home on many Southern tables. The creamy, gravy-like white sauce rehydrates dried beef, and a pinch of black pepper gives this simplistic recipe a little depth of flavor. Although many folks like to serve creamed chipped beef over thick, golden slices of Texas toast, you can also spoon over warm buttermilk biscuits. Many folks remember it as breakfast back in the day, but we think it's a comforting weekend recipe to bring to the table every once in a while. Talk about a recipe that takes us back!

1 tsp salt
1tsp pepper
1 tbs oregano
1 can diced tomatoes
1 cup Mozzarella cheese
1 cup Cheddar cheese

Step up your mac and cheese game with this beefy, cheesy, lick-the-plate-good recipe! This dish packs a flavorful punch with bell peppers, onions, garlic, basil, oregano, cumin, and tomatoes - all topped with baked cheese. What's not to love?

INGREDIENTS
1 teaspoon each dried basil, cumin, and dried oregano
salt and pepper, to taste
3 cup canned crushed tomatoes
2 lbs lean ground beef
1 tablespoon garlic, chopped
2 cups onion, chopped
2 cups green bell pepper, chopped
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 lb box elbow macaroni
2 to 3 cups cheddar cheese, grated
PREPARATION
Cook the macaroni according to package directions; drain and set aside. Heat the oil in a skillet; add the peppers, onion, and garlic, and saute until soft. Add the ground beef and sauté until browned. Add the tomatoes, salt and pepper to taste, and the basil, cumin, and oregano. In a large bowl, combine the macaroni and the beef mixture. Spread this mixture into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Top with the cheese and bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cheese is lightly browned and bubbly.
Cook's Note: Ground turkey or chicken can be used in place of beef, if desired.
