How To make Babe's Apple Cake
2 c Flour, whole
1 c Sugar
1/4 c Wheat germ, toasted
1 c Brown sugar
1 ts Cinnamon
1 c Walnuts, chopped
1 ts Salt
2 ea Eggs, beaten
1/2 ts Nutmeg
1 ts Vanilla
4 c Apples, diced
1/2 c Oil
2 ts Baking soda
Sift together whole wheat flour, wheat germ, baking soda, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg. Set aside. In large bowl combine peeled and diced apples, sugars, oil, walnuts, eggs and vanilla. Add flour to mixture. Stir gently. Blend well. Turn into 2" deep pan. Bake in pre- heated oven (350 deg) for 50 minutes or till cake pulls from side of pan. Cool in pan or rack. If desired, sprinkle with confectioner's sugar. Cut in 12 bars. -----

Caramel Apple upside down cake recipe #shorts
Delicious sugar fruit bakes into a buttery, vanilla-scented apple upside-down cake, creating the most mouthwatering dessert
Cake:
250 g flour
200 g sugar
150 g butter
100 g plain yogurt
15 g baking powder
4 g salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
Zest of 1 lemon
3 eggs
Apples:& glaze:
4 apples
150 g sugar
2 tbsp water
Line the bottom of a 9-inch cake pan with parchment paper and line the apples wedges
In a large pan blend the sugar and water, cook on medium heat until an amber caramel forms. Pour immediately the caramel over the apples wedges.
In a bowl, whisk the flour with the sugar, baking powder, lemon zest and salt. In a small bowl, mix the eggs with the yogurt and vanilla. Add the mixture to the dry ingredients along with the melted butter and whisk until smooth.
Scrape the batter over the apples and spread evenly.
Bake the cake at 180 °C until golden and springy and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 35/40 minutes.
