How To make Waikiki Meatballs
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
2/3 cup crackers
crumbs
1/3 cup onion :
minced
1 egg
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon shortening
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup brown sugar packed
1 can pineapple chunks in light syrup :
drained
reserve syru 1/3 cup vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/3 cup green pepper -- chopped
Mix meat, crumbs, onion, egg, salt, ginger, and milk. Shape mixture by rounded tablespoonfuls into balls. Melt shortening in large skillet; brown and cook mea tballs. Remove meatballs; keep warm. Pour fat from skillet. Mix cornstarch and sugar. Stir in reserved pineapple syrup, vinegar and soy sauce until smooth. Po ur into skillet; cook over medium heatm, stirring constantly, until mixture thi ckens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Add meatballs, pineapple tidbits and g reen pepper; heat through.

INGREDIENTS:

●1/3 cup minced onion
●1 egg
●1/4 cup milk
●1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
●1/2 teaspoon salt
●1 tablespoon olive oil
●2 tablespoons cornstarch
●1/2 cup packed brown sugar
●1 (15 ounce) can pineapple chunks - drained, with juice reserved
●1/3 cup white vinegar
●1 tablespoon soy sauce
●1/3 cup chopped green bell pepper

*1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. crushed cracker crumbs
1/4 c. milk
2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 egg
Mix first 7 ingredients; shape into one and a half inch balls. Cook in non-stick skillet on low heat; turning occasionally until brown and done.
*Can use boneless, skinless chicken tenders; cut into chunks, lightly flour, brown in non stick skillet with small amount of oil til done.
Sauce:
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 lg. can pineapple chucks-do non drain
3 Tbsp. soy sauce (or more depending on taste)
1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. apple cider vinegar
1 green pepper, chucked
Juice of one orange
Optional: Sesame seeds
In separate skillet, stir together brown sugar and cornstarch. Add pineapple chunks with juice, vinegar and soy sauce. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat, add meatballs or chicken, simmer, stirring occasionally for about 10 minutes. Stir in green pepper, cook for just a few minutes, pepper should still be crisp. Can add 2-3 Tbsp. sesame seeds. Right before serving, squeeze one orange over all, stir. Can be served over rice.

Hawaiian meatballs and rice-
Package of frozen meatballs
Can of pineapple chunks in juice
Soy sauce
Honey
Medium size bell pepper
Toss all ingredients into slow cooker set time for 4 hours on low. Chop pepper and add last 30 minutes of cook time. Prepare rice. Too rice with meatballs. Enjoy!!!

Hello everyone! It's been a while since we've posted a recipe, but here we are! Today we wanted to show you how to make a family recipe: waikiki meatballs! The recipe is below. Enjoy!
Waikiki Meatballs

Ingredients:
1.5 lbs ground beef
2/3 cup cracker crumbs
1/3 cup minced onion
1/4 cup milk
2 TBSP cornstarch
1 – 13.5 oz can pineapple tidbits (SAVE syrup) 1/3 cup vinegar
1 egg
1.5 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ginger
1 TBSP shortening (or butter)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 TBSP soy sauce (we use Tamari)
1/3 cup chopped green pepper
White rice (or preferred rice)
Instructions:
To make meatballs: Mix together beef, crumbs, onion, egg, salt, ginger, milk
Shape them into approximately 1” balls and brown in shortening (or butter) in a large skillet. Remove as cooked and pour off fat.
Mix cornstarch, sugar, syrup from can, vinegar, soy sauce (or tamari) until smooth
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened and boiling. Boil one minute. Add meatballs, tidbits, green pepper and heat through
Serve over white rice
