Sausage Gravy

Ingredients
1 pound breakfast sausage, hot or mild
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
3 to 4 cups whole milk, more to taste
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper, more to taste
Biscuits, warmed, for serving
Directions
With your finger, tear small pieces of sausage and add them in a single layer to a large heavy skillet. Brown the sausage over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Sprinkle on half the flour and stir so that the sausage soaks it all up, then add more little by little. Stir it around and cook it for another minute or so, then pour in the milk, stirring constantly.
Cook the gravy, stirring frequently, until it thickens. (This may take a good 10 to 12 minutes.) Sprinkle in the seasoned salt and pepper and continue cooking until very thick and luscious. If it gets too thick too soon, just splash in another 1/2 cup of milk or more if needed. Taste and adjust the seasoning.
Spoon the sausage gravy over warm biscuits and serve immediately!

The best biscuits and gravy are the ones made from SCRATCH, I love making my homeade pinched biscuits because they are soft and fluffy every time, and it always beats store bought, then i smother them with my perfectly seasoned Bacon, onions and sausage gravy. The combination of the bacon and sausage with onions seasoned with SEASON ALL and a pinch of nutmeg and pepper make this gravy unique in taste. I have often ordered biscuits and gravy at restaurants only to be totally disappointed when it's lacking in flavor and it's either too thick and doughy or very runny and bland. The fact that I love good food and always dedicate my time to creating the tastiest dishes make this BISCUITS WITH SAUSAGE AND BACON GRAVY the BEST RECIPE, it's easy and made with very few ingredients but packed with flavor.
PINCHED BISCUITS
WHITE LILY Self rising flour (you can use any brand)
3-4 Tbsp Butter flavored CRISCO SHORTENING
1 C. BUTTERMILK
BACON AND SAUSAGE GRAVY INGREDIENTS
1/3 C. diced onions
3 slices thick cut smoked bacon (diced)
3/4 lb. Jimmy Dean Sausage
5-6 Tbsp All purpose flour
about 5 C. milk
1/2 tsp Season All (you decide)
pinch Nutmeg (forgot to show)
pepper (to your liking)
HOMEADE BUTTERMILK
In a cup add 1 -1 &1/2 Tbsp white vinegar
then fill with milk, stir and let sit 5 minutes
