These Sweet Potato Gnocchi are so addictive. All the savoury and sweet flavours hit all the right spots. I love the combo of pesto mix with the sweetness of the potatoes and I think you will love it too! They are easy and so incredibly delicious and I hope you will give them a try. Made only with 3 ingredients, they are gluten-free and dairy-free. Here I made two different styles, one quick and easy and the other a little more time-consuming both worth the effort. Serve them crispy pan-fried or simply boil and add your favourite sauce.

Crispy Bubble Potatoes or Gnocchi | Same (TikTok) Recipe | Doug Cooking
Crispy crunchy TikTok bubble potato pillows and gnocchi from the same recipe? Yes, and gluten free/vegan at the same time. The bubble potatoes are light and crispy, with a creamy interior, while the gnocchi have a pleasantly toothsome bite and sturdy structure. The only difference is the amount of starchy, sweet rice based flour. Use approximately double the flour for gnocchi. Enjoy!
Crisply Bubble Potatoes
300g Potatoes (such as Russet), baked and peeled
2 tablespoons Gluten free flour, sweet rice based
Salt and pepper
Press the baked and peeled potatoes through a potato ricer. Using a sieve, dust the riced potatoes with the flour. Add 1/4 teaspoon each of salt and pepper. Mix dough with a fork to incorporate ingredients. With clean hands, shape the dough into 1/2 inch diameter logs, then slice into 1/2 inch pieces. Using the back of a fork, press segments down slightly to form a rectangular pillow shape.
In a medium saucepan, heat 2-3 inches of a neutral, higher smoke point oil
(such as sunflower or grapeseed). Test the oil with one of the bubble potatoes. Once the potato achieves a good sizzle, add more potato pieces, cooking in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd. Adjust heat as necessary, and fry bubble potatoes until a deep golden brown is achieved. With a slotted strainer, transfer cooked bubble potatoes to a paper towel lined tray. Season while hot. Repeat until all pieces are fried. Enjoy!
Gnocchi (Gluten Free)
300g Potatoes (such as Russet), baked and peeled
4 tablespoons Gluten free flour, sweet rice based
Salt and pepper
Press the baked and peeled potatoes through a potato ricer. Using a sieve, dust the riced potatoes with the flour. Add 1/4 teaspoon each of salt and pepper. Mix dough with a fork to incorporate ingredients. With clean hands, shape the dough into 1/2 inch diameter logs, then slice into 1 inch pieces. Using the back of a fork and holding a gnocchi, roll against the tines to form ridges in the gnocchi. Repeat with all pieces.
Place a medium saucepan filled with 2-3 quarts of water over high heat. Bring water to a boil, then add Kosher salt (1-2 tablespoons). Place gnocchi gently into the water. Boil until the gnocchi float. Remove with a slotted strainer, and serve with your favorite sauce. Enjoy!
