✅Ingredients
• 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
• ½ cup salted butter
• 1 cup corn syrup
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 4 large eggs, beaten
• 1 ½ cups pecans, halves or chopped
✅Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
2️⃣ Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
3️⃣ Once melted, add corn syrup, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt. Stir to combine until everything if fully melted.
4️⃣ Remove from heat and whisk in eggs and stir in pecans.
5️⃣ IPour the mixture into a 9-inch uncooked pie shell.
6️⃣ Bake for 55 minutes in the preheated 325 degree oven, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
7️⃣ Serve with either whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

My maple pecan pie
Maple syrup + pecans = match made in heaven!
I wanted to pay respect to both ingredients given that they are crazy delicious and let's face it, they are pricey!
So I decided to make a pecan pie, added maple and bourbon in the filling for an extra flavour boost! And for the crust I decided to use the flakiest pastry I know, the pate brisee!

Ingredients:
1 pate brisee recipe (
3 eggs
4 tbsp (57g) butter, melted
2 1/2 cups (300g) of pecans
1/4 cup (82g) maple syrup
3/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp bourbon (totally optional)
1/2 cup (185g) glucose
1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar

How I Fell in Love with Pecan Pie Again!
The best pecan pie recipe that’s perfect every time! This recipe is made from scratch using of the best crust recipe you will find. You could also buy it and skip straight to the filling part.
A pie crust needs to be tender; it needs to be flaky in your mouth and taste like heaven with each bite. For best results you will need a food processor. Sure, you can also work it manually, but a processor will be your friend. Work in a cool environment and don’t let the butter get too soft.
Want to replace half the butter with lard? No problem, that can be to your advantage in terms of texture. I personally prefer just butter for a better flavour. So be fearless and give this pie crust a go, it’s pretty easy. Just one more thing, Vodka is for drinking! (some of you will get it)
For the filling, it’s best to give the pecan nuts a quick roast, 3-5 minutes, but don’t over do it as it can destroy their flavour. Use a good natural vanilla but don’t put too much or it can overpower the other subtle flavours. Use a descent Bourbon or a Whiskey, you can leave it out if alcohol is not your thing. Don’t skimp on the maple syrup, buy the real deal, that’s where the flavour is. Whether for thanksgiving or any other celebration, no one will ever turn away a good slice of Pecan Pie.

Today I am making a Southern Classic Dessert but with a Twist, Maple Pecan Pie! It is simple, easy and it is all a dump in a bowl Recipe; bursting with Maple Goodness!!!
This will be great to serve for Thanksgiving and Christmas and it screams FALL!!!!

Ellen’s Homemade Pie Crust:
3 extra large or jumbo eggs, room temperature
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup packed light or dark brown sugar
3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup pure maple syrup
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tsp pure maple extract
2 cups pecan halves
1 (9 inch) pie shell (homemade, refrigerated or frozen)
Whipped Cream, for serving (optional)
Baker’s Note: If using a frozen pie crust, make sure you thaw it out. If using a homemade or refrigerated pie crust, greased the pie plate with butter or cooking spray.
Preheat Oven to 375 Degrees
In a large bowl, add eggs, white and brown sugar; whisk together until well incorporated. Next add and stir in melted butter, salt, maple syrup, vanilla and maple extract, and pecans until well combined. Pour the pecan filling into the pie crust. Bake for 30-40 minutes until crust is golden brown and the filling is set (knife in the center comes out clean). Remove from the oven and cool for 1 hour on a wire rack. Serve with whipped cream (if desired) and enjoy!
