Good Old Fashioned Oatmeal Recipe | Breakfast Food | Simple & Easy Recipe
Good Old Fashioned Oatmeal Recipe | Breakfast Food | Simple & Easy Recipe. I love Quaker Oats Old Fashioned Oatmeal for breakfast. Some people just prefer instant oatmeal because they don't know how to prepare the old fashioned oatmeal. If you follow this recipe to the tee, it will turn out right every time.
Thanks for watching everyone. Let me know if you have tried this recipe, then let me know how it turned out (see recipe below).
Old Fashioned Oatmeal
Ingredients I used:
1 cup old fashioned oatmeal 1 ¾ cup of whole milk 1 tablespoon of evaporated milk 1 tablespoon butter or margarine ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract Ground cinnamon to taste Dash of salt to taste Sugar to taste
Preparations: nonstick medium pot (double or triple this recipe) In a medium pot boil whole milk, salt and pure vanilla extract over medium heat. Stir in oatmeal then cook about 5 minutes over medium to low heat, stirring occasionally. When oatmeal is a soft texture add margarine, evaporated milk, cinnamon and sugar, mix well. Cook on low heat for 2 minutes
Tip: If oatmeal is too stiff add small amounts of milk at a time. To reheat leftover oatmeal add milk to oatmeal and stir, then microwave or cook on stove top until warm. Makes 2 to 3 servings.
Also thanks to everyone who donated and sent gifts to my cooking channel. I truly appreciate it. It helps me to buy food for the show, cooking utensils and more.
