How To make Honey Twist Coffee Cake
Mrs. cecil lewis 2 pk Yeast
1/2 c Lukewarm water
1 c Butter or margarine
2 ts Salt
1 c Sugar
4 Eggs
2 tb Lemon juice <or>
Juice of 1 lemon 1/2 ts Ground nutmeg
2 c Milk
10 c Flour
honey topping:
1/4 c Butter or margarine; softene
2/3 c Powdered sugar
1 Egg white
2 tb Honey
icing:
2 c Powdered sugar
Boiling water 1 ts Vanilla
Soften yeast in water. cream butter, salt and sugar. Add slightly beaten eggs, lemon juice, spice, milk (half water and half canned milk) and soaked yeast. Stir in flour, keeping dough softer than for loaf bread. Knead on a lightly floured pastry cloth. Place in a greased bowl and brush top lightly with fat. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk. shape into a long roll about 1" in diameter. coil loosely into greased 9" layer pan or an 8x8x2" pan, beginning at the outer edge. Mix ingredients for Honey Topping and brush on dough. Let it rise until doubled in bulk. Bake at 350~F for 30 min. Cool slightly, dribble with icing made by adding boiling water 1 T at a time to powdered sugar. Add just enough water so that the icing flows freely from a spoon. Add vanilla. Coffee Cake
2 cups flour spooned, leveled
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 T pumpkin pie spice **see below for link to recipe for homemade pumpkin pie spice
1 cup pumpkin puree
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup oil vegetable or canola
1 tsp. vanilla
Topping
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 T butter melted
2 T flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup pecans chopped
Mix dry ingredients together...
Add in the rest of the ingredients...
Combined well...
bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes

The Ultimate, Walnutty Coffee Cake | Magic Marinade | ASMR
I first made this cake many years ago, when I was craving something sweet along with my coffee. I grew up on a variation of this cake— it was a pound cake of sorts lightly topped with some walnut, and it also had a layer of walnut along the bottom, which felt like it might have sunk there early during the bake.
The sunk walnuts used to be soggy, but still delicious. I've added a butterscotch twist to the walnuts, making the internal walnuts as sweet as they are crunchy. The walnuts up top are also extra crisp thanks to this.
The cake weighs a ton, and it definitely surprised me the first time I pulled it out of the oven. Though this also makes it super substantial and once slice would make for a pairing with your coffee. Though I doubt anyone would stick to just one.
ALSO: next week's video is a salmon in lemon butter sauce, NOT pumpkin pie again. It's late in the night right now, and I missed editing that little detail before I exported and put up the video. Sorry!

170g butter
376g all purpose flour
3tsp baking powder
2 pinches salt
300g sugar
2 eggs
125ml milk
125ml dahi
1tsp vanilla extract
30ml rum (optional)
*For the crumble*
100g Sugar
200g chopped walnuts
50g Butter
1tsp cinnamon
¼tsp allspice
2tbsp honey
