How To make German Chocolate Pound Cake
4 ounces German chocolate squares
2 cups sugar
3 cups flour -- sifted with
1/2 teaspoon soda and
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 sticks butter
4 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
Partially melt chocolate over hot water. Remove and stir rapidly until entirel y melted. Cool. Cream sugar and oleo. Add eggs, vanilla and buttermilk. Th en flour mixture. Stir in chocolate until blended.
Bake at 300-325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours in greased and floured bundt pan. Remo ve from pan and place under tight cover until thoroughly cold.

I hope my viewers have been looking to make a German Chocolate Cake from scratch. I've been wanting to make a German Chocolate Cake since forever but I always talk myself out of doing it because I thought it was going to be hard... I was so wrong... can't assume anything. LOL I hope you watching me make it, encourages you to make it... it really is pretty simple to make.
Anyway, I'll add the ingredients and measurements below along with other sweet recipes like the peanut butter cookies that my hubby is munching on!
Ingredients
Preheat oven 350°
Standard 9 baking pans
4oz Bakers German's Chocolate
1/2 cup hot water
2 sticks of room temperature butter
2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon expresso instant coffee(in the video I add 1 teaspoon but I started adding 1 TABLESPOON) and WOW ???????????????????????????????? AMAZING
4 eggs
1 cup of butter milk or substitute sour cream and water mix or see my butter cake recipe for another substitute
2 cups of flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
FROSTING
1 stick of butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 can evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 egg yokes
1 cup chopped pecans
1 1/2 cups unsweetened coconut flakes
Make the FROSTING WITHOUT EGG
I actually like the frosting better this way!
1 stick of butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 can unsweetened coconut milk
3 tablespoon cornstarch add water on top of the cornstarch until it equals 1 cup
stir butter and brown sugar together just like in the video
add coconut milk and cornstarch mixture in medium low heat and consistently stir until thick
1 cup pecans
1 1/2 coconut flakes
grease and flour pan
bake cake for about 30-35 minutes

How To Make German Pound Cake With My Dad!
Happy Holidays! This week I'm bringing you all the way to Florida to share a special family tradition, making German Pound cake with my dad. This recipe is not just delicious but very special in my family. I hope you enjoy it with yours!
Ingredients and directions:
3 cups flour sifted
dash of salt
1 tsp baking powder
2 sticks of butter
1 cup lukewarm milk
1 cup sugar
1 lemon
2 eggs
1/2 cup almonds
1/2 cup raisins
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Using a large pot on the stove top, melt the butter slowly on medium to low head, do not brown.
Turn off heat and add sugar, stir until dissolved
Add raisins and almonds
Add grated lemon peel and juice
Add eggs, stir well
Add 1/2 bowl of sifted flour wit salt and baking powder
Add milk
Add remaining flower mixture
Butter and flour a bundt round cake pan
All batter
Bake in oven at 375 degrees for one hour

Baked at 325 degrees for 1 hour 15 mins. (Time may vary depending on your cake pan and/or oven.)
3 Cups Cake Flour
3 Cups Sugar
3 Sticks UNsalted Butter (Room Temperature)
5 Large Eggs (Room Temperature)
3/4 C Unsweetened Hershey's Cocoa Powder
1 C Buttermilk
1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
1/4 Tsp Salt
1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
CHOCOLATE GLAZE
Baker's German's Sweet Chocolate
Water (Start With About 1/4 C)
Butter
Powdered Sugar
Vanilla Extract
TOASTED COCONUT & PECAN FROSTING
1 Can Evaporated Milk
1 Cup Dark Brown Sugar
1 Stick Butter
3 Large Egg Yolks
1/8 Tsp Salt
1 Tablespoon Vanilla
1.5-2 Cups Toasted Sweetened Coconut Flakes
1 Cup Toasted Pecans

Everyone likes pound cake, right? And when you add chocolate, it’s even better! This is a velvety-smooth pound cake with rich dark cocoa powder to waken your taste buds! A simple glaze or frosting adds an extra layer of chocolate flavors! Delicious!
Ingredients Used for the cake
3 cups All purpose flour
3 cups sugar
3 sticks unsalted butter @ room temp
1 cup sour cream @room temp
2 tsps vanilla extract
1/2 cup dark unsweetened cocoa powder
5 eggs @ room temp
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt
3/4 cup hot boiling water
1 Tbsp decaf Instant coffee
For the chocolate glaze
3 Tbsp unsalted butter @ room temp
1 cup powdered sugar
1 Tbsp Dark cocoa powder
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
5 tsp whole milk
Bake @325 F for 1 hr 20 minutes (80 minutes). Allow to cool down completely before glazing ! Enjoy!
