How To make Fried Chicken
2 -3 1/2 pound Frying chicken -- cut into 8 pieces
Salt Freshly Ground Black Pepper 2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons paprika
- plus more for the finished chicken vegetable oil
1) Trim the excess fat and skin from each piece of chicken. Sprinkle the pieces with salt and pepper. Stir the flour and paprika together in a shallow bowl. Dredge the chicken pieces in the seasoned flour to coat on all sides. Shake off the excess flour.
2) Pour enough vegetable oil into a heavy deep skillet (cast-iron is perfect) to fill it to 2 inches. Heat over medium heat to 375oF. (A small cube of bread dropped in the dropped in the oil will brown in about 20 seconds.)
3) Add only as many of the chicken pieces as will fit without touching. Overcrowding will lower the temperature of the oil and make your fried chicken greasy. With a long-handled fork or tongs to prevent getting splattered, turn the chicken pieces until they are golden brown on all sides and cooked through, about 6 minutes. The easiest way to tell if the chicken is cooked is to poke a fork down to the bone near the thickest part - if the chicken is cooked the juices will run clear, not pink.
4) Remove the chicken pieces from the skillet to drain. If you have to fry the chicken in batches, keep the fried chicken warm on a baking sheet in a 250oF oven. When all the chicken is fried, sprinkle the pieces with paprika and serve hot.

Here is what you'll need!
chicken pieces with skin - 500 g
salt - 1/4 tsp
soya sauce - 1/2 tblsp
tomato ketchup - 1 tblsp
Ginger paste - 1 tsp
Garlic paste - 1 tsp
Black pepper powder - 1 tsp
instant noodles masala (like Maggi) - 1 pack
IT's optional but it will help to increase the taste...plz try with it.
for coating:
All purpose flour - 1.5 cups
corn flour - 1/4 cup
salt - 1/2 tsp
Garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder - 1/2 tblsp
turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp, for nice golden color but its optional

This has to be one of the best chicken & rice recipes, so much flavor, the perfect balance of sweet, spicy & savoury!
Macros per serve (4 total)
452 Calories | 40g Protein | 51g Carbs | 10g Fat
Ingredients (4 servings)
- 700g Cubed Chicken Breast
- 2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1.5 tsp Black Pepper
- 2 tap Paprika
- 1 tsp Salt
- 30g Cornflour (Brand: Tesco)
For the Glaze
- 50ml Light Soy sauce mixed with 50ml Water (total 100ml)
- 25g Honey
- 40g Gochujang Paste (Brand: Haepyo can find this on Amazon - you can substitute this for Tomato paste mixed with sriracha if you can’t gind gochujang)
Pickled Cucumbers (can be stored separately)
- Thinly sliced Cucumber
- 20ml Light Soy Sauce (Brand: Lee Kum Kee)
- 10ml Rice Vinegar
- OPTIONAL Chilli Flakes (can be really spicy, skip this if needed)
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Sesame Seeds
Important cooking notes
- When coating the chicken with cornflour makes sure it’s well coated. Or you can skip the cornflour all together if you don’t have it
- When making the glaze, add the ingredients on low heat then keep stirring till it starts to bubble lightly then let it reduce for 3-4 mins. It should thicken
- You can store the cucumbers separately and warm up the meal prep without them. Better served cold
