How To make Cupcakes w/Chocolate Spider Web
CUPCAKES Use packaged brand FOR CHOCOLATE WEB AND SPIDER 1/2 c Semisweet chocolate chips
Make cupcakes and set aside. CHOCOLATE WEB AND SPIDER-On a sheet of parchment paper draw an 11" circle with a pen or pencil and draw a spider web on it, extending some of ends beyond circle. Tear off a large corner of the paper and on it draw a spider. Turn drawings over onto a large baking sheet. In a metal bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water melt chocolate chips, stirring until smooth. Transfer chocolate to a pastry bag fitted with a #3 plain tip (slightly smaller than 1/8"). (Alternatively, form a makeshift pastry bag: Transfer chocolate to a small sealable plastic bag and seal bag, pressing out excess air. Squeeze chocolate to one corner of bag and snip off about 1" from corner making a small hole.) Pipe chocolate on web, beginning with spokes, and on spider. Freeze web and spider on baking sheet until very firm, at least 1 hour and up to 1 day. Source: Cooking Live, TVFN. MM Waldine Van Geffen vghc42a@prodigy.com.

Marshmallow Spiderweb Cupcakes
This is such a fun Halloween treat and so easy! Warning: marshmallow is STICKY, but these cupcakes are so cute and worth the mess. I grabbed boxed cupcake mix and baked them according to the package, piped chocolate icing on top and then added the marshmallow spiderwebs. To do this, I used large marshmallows that I cut into forths. I microwaved the marshmallows for 30 seconds to get them nice and fluffy and moldable. Watch as the sticky magic happens!

How to make Spiderweb Cupcakes for Halloween!
Creepy spiderweb cupcakes perfect for any Halloween gathering :). Use any kind of cupcake recipe and vanilla frosting recipe you like for this.
Spiderwebs are made with black icing gel and a toothpick. Candy spiders are made with black Candy Melts and spider molds (I also used a toothpick to help spread out the melted chocolate). Make sure to freeze the melted chocolate in the mold for 15 minutes before taking them out.
My kids loved these, and you will too!!!
