How To make Crockpot Polish Sausage And Cabbage

cabbage head, course sliced
1
each
potato, peeled, diced
1
teaspoon
salt
1/2
teaspoon
caraway seed
1
each
onion, cut 1 inch slices
1 1/2
pound
polish sausage, cut 1 inch pieces
14
oz
chicken broth
Directions:
Place sliced cabbage in crockpot. Toss with diced potato, salt and caraway seed. Add sliced onion and Polish sausage. Pour chicken broth over all; stir lightly. Cover and cook on Low setting for 8 to 10 hours (on HIGH setting for 2 to 4 hours).
This dish is delicious served with mustard, horseradish and boiled new potatoes. Makes 4 servings (about 3 1/2 quarts).

Southern-Style Sausage, cabbage & Potato Skillet
Ingredients:
3 pork smoke sausages
1/2 onion sliced
4 small potatoes sliced
1/2 cabbage chopped
1 teaspoon dried sweet basil
1 teaspoon spicy seasoning
1 teaspoon red onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic & herb seasoning
1 teaspoon black pepper
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cups chicken broth
1 tablespoons vegetable oil
Directions:
1. Add oil to a cast iron skillet on medium high heat, brown your smoke sausages, once your sausages are Brown remove them from the skillet.
2. Add your onions to the skillet and cook them until they are translucent for about 3 minutes. Add your potatoes along with 2 to 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter, allow them to brown.
4. Add your cabbage, chicken broth into the skillet, along with ALL SEASONING. Place a lid over the skillet and allow the cabbage to cook down. Stirring often, keeping the potatoes from burning.
5. Your food is ready when the cabbage and potatoes is fork tender.

Pound and a half to 2 pounds of Kielbasa Cut into 2 inch pieces
6-10 honey golden potatoes
1/4 sliced onion One cup of liquid your choice (White wine or apple juice, or beer)
1/4 cup or less of brown sugar
Caraway seeds to taste
Bag of sauerkraut rinsed
Rinse your sauerkraut. Slice 1/4 onion. Place sauerkraut in slow cooker and add all ingredients. I mix the liquid with the brown sugar before adding. Put slow cooker on temperature high for four hours. Enjoy this tasty meal any time strive to be happy
