Hello, and welcome to In the Kitchen with Matt, I am your host Matt Taylor. There is a new snickers bar on the market, it is called Snickers Crisper, It comes in this blue packaging like this. They taste really good; instead of nougat and peanuts it is rice krispies and peanuts, or like crisped rice with peanuts. It still has caramel and chocolate; I decided to do a copycat recipe of this, turns out really similar and super tasty. Some of my friends actually like it better then the real thing. Without further ado, let’s get started. For our tools and the ingredients, we have some kitchen spray; we have a 4x8 bread pan, which I have covered with aluminum foil, I have a cup and a half of milk chocolate light cocoa candy wafers, I have about 11 or 12 of these caramels, which equals about 3.5 ounces of caramel. I have 1 tablespoon of milk, 2/3 cup of rice krispies or crisped rice, 1 tablespoon of butter, 2/3 cup of unsalted peanuts, 1 and a quarter cup of marshmallows, I also have a cutting board and a sharp knife. Alternative method, instead of using marshmallows and butter with our crisped rice and peanuts, you can use 3 tablespoons of corn syrup, it gives it a little bit different of a taste, but it still tastes really good, so you can use either or, and instead of using melted chocolate wafers, you can use about 7 ounces of chocolate or milk chocolate so that equals one big Hershey bar. Ok so first what we are going to do, is we are going to melt our marshmallows with our butter. I am going to do this in the microwave, you can certainly do it on the stove, if you want to see that method, watch my rice krispies treat video, and you can see how I do it on the stove. Alternatively you can skip this step if you are going to use the 3 tablespoons of corn syrup. So I am going to melt my butter, I am going to take my butter here, and I am going to go ahead and melt this in the microwave, on bursts of 30 seconds, stir, 30 seconds, stir, until it is nice and melted. Ok once it is melted, we want to work really quickly, we will add our peanuts, and our crisped rice, and we will mix it all together, again like you are making rice krispies treats. Just go ahead and mix it all together, and we will take our aluminum foil covered, and spray it, spray the aluminum foil with your kitchen spray, and we are going to just...
