3/4 c Butter-flavored shortening Or regular shortening 1 1/4 c Packed light brown sugar 2 tb Mik 1 tb Vanilla 1 Egg 1 3/4 c All-purpose flour 1 ts Salt 3/4 ts Baking soda 1 c Semisweet chocolate chips 1 c Pecans; coarsely chopped Recipe by: St. Louis Post-Dispatch 12/4/95 Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place sheets of foil on counter top for cooling cookies. Combine shortening, sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer until well blended. Beat in egg. Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Mix into shortening mixture just until blended. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 3 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake 1 baking sheet at a time for 8 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies (cookies will appear light and moist) or 11 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies. Let cool 2 3 dozen cookies. -----

Lets not lose hope mommies, lets pray and work hard. There is no other person who will work hard to teach and guide to our children except us mommies. Most importantly is to let them show our unconditional LOVE that they need. So I let my son do excercises like this to help his speech improve and know how to follow instruction. His 6 yrs old now but still cannot read sentence. Thank you for watching.
