This is a dish found on many takeout menus, personally beef works the best with this sauce and if you're a seafood lover squid is amazing cooked this way.
A quick tip I forgot to mention is you can add some aged garlic, I didn't add it this time due to having garlic powder in the beef and most places won't add extra garlic, but in my eyes garlic on garlic with garlic is never a bad thing.
We got so many more videos to make and thanks for all the comments they help shape our channel!

You will find that this dish is best served with something such as rice. You can try alternatives such as egg noodles, mashed potatoes or even polenta. It does go great with quite a range of delicious sides.
The sauce in this dish is pretty easy so don’t stress too much about making a mistake. It combines a lot of the delicious ingredients found in a good satay sauce. The result is a flavor-packed sauce that will have you going back for seconds.
You’re able to quickly double this recipe if you're feeding quite a few people. I recommend doubling all the ingredients, so you end up with the right amount of sauce to beef.
You shouldn’t need to thicken the sauce but if you find that it is a bit runny then merely mix cornstarch and water then pour into the sauce. About 1 Tbsp. of this should be more than enough to thicken the sauce up.
There are quite a few ingredients in this recipe. If you need a proper list, then you can find all the ingredients right below. It will come in handy if you need to go shopping.
• 500g (17.5 oz.) rump steak (beef) thinly sliced
• 2 tsp. peanut oil
• 1 onion, sliced
• 1 red bell pepper, thick slices
• 1 tsp. garlic, crushed
• 1 tsp. ginger, crushed
• 1 tsp. red chili flakes
• 2 tsp. brown sugar
• 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
• 3 Tbsp. peanut butter
• ½ cup coconut milk
• ½ cup beef stock
Spice isn’t for everyone, so you can quickly leave the red chili flakes out if you’re not keen on them. It is also perfect if you need to make it kid-friendly.
I brown the beef in the video, but you can quickly skip past this if you’re running low on time.
I hope that this video has been able to show you all the steps to making a delicious slow cooker satay beef. If you have any thoughts, tips or anything else, then please don’t hesitate to leave a comment below or over at slowcookingperfected.com
