1 lg Egg
2 lg Egg whites
1 tb Low-fat milk
1 t Grated orange peel
1/2 ts Vanilla extract
1/8 ts Ground cinnamon
1 tb Vegetable oil
4 sl Whole-wheat toast
Wheat germ, optional
ORANGE SLICES:
2 Seedless oranges -- peeled
- white pith removed, halved - and sliced into rounds 2 ts Sugar
1/2 ts Vanilla extract
in shallow bowl, beat egg, egg whites, milk, orange peel, vanilla, and cinnamon until blended. In large nonstick skillet, over medium heat, heat oil. Dip bread in egg mixture to coat both sides; add to skillet. Cook 3 to 4 minutes on each side, or until browned, turning once. Serve hot wtih Orange Slices (see recipe below) and sprinkled with wheat germ. ORANGE SLICES: In small bowl, combine all ingredients; toss to coat. Let stand 1 hour to blend flavors. Bread recipe ingredients:
1 cup warm water (200 ml)
1 tbsp yeast (10 grams)
4 tsp sugar
1/3 cup vegetable oil (60 ml)
1 cup warm milk (200 ml)
1/2 tsp salt
5 cups of flour (600 gr) + ~30-50 gr to work with dough
100 gr butter

Orange Ricotta-Stuffed French Toast with Honey Cinnamon Syrup
I didn't have a lot of time to make this into a longer video, but this was the best French Toast I have had in a long time! It is stuffed with a mixture of ricotta, confectioners sugar, and orange juice (fresh). The honey syrup is a combination of honey, cinnamon, vanilla, and butter. This Cook's Country recipe is HEAVENLY!
French Toast Ingredients:
4 ounces whole-milk ricotta
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
1 tablespoon orange juice, fresh squeezed
4 slices white bread
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
Syrup Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, combine the ricotta, powdered sugar, and orange juice. Mix well!
2. Spread this mixture evenly onto all four pieces of bread. With these four pieces of bread, make two sandwiches (the mixture should be on the inside).
3. In a square baking dish, mix together the milk, egg, and vanilla. Soak the sandwiches for a few seconds on each side before adding to a skillet on the stove. (The skillet should be set on medium heat.) Cook the french toast sandwiches until both sides are golden brown. This will be about 3-5 minutes per side. Once the french toast is cooked, place them on a platter while you make the syrup.
4. In a small pot, heat up the syrup ingredients until everything has been incorporated and warmed. Drizzle on top of the french toast when you are ready to eat!
