Winter Cider Cocktails: Wassail
We’re indoors much more, so we are embracing those moments where we hosting our friends and loved one indoors. Cider is a great cocktail ingredient thanks to its crisp and dry characteristics, while still having delicate apple flavors and complexity from barrel-aging that make work equally well in drier, sweeter, or even warm cocktails.
RECIPE:
Wassail:
Mulling spices (you can either place these in a cheesecloth bag, or keep them loose):
1 cinnamon stick
2 whole cloves
1/4 tsp grated nutmeg
pinch cayenne pepper (optional)
1/4 c brown sugar
1 whole allspice
1 juniper berry
Cider:
4 c Virtue Cider Michigan Apple
2 c non-alcoholic cider
a bit of your favorite spirit (whiskey, rum, brandy, etc.)
Instructions:
Heat all ingredients in a saucepan, but take care not to boil.
Add any spirits with the heat source off.
Ladle around the spices and serve in your favorite mug.
Garnish with apple slices.

Wassail Recipe | Texas A&Mmmmm
It's the perfect season to enjoy a warm cup of wassail! Try our twist on this classic fall drink.
Ingredients:
o 2 quarts of apple cider
o 3/4 cup of orange juice
o 1 cup of pineapple juice
o 2 tbsp of lemon juice
o 3 sticks of cinnamon
o 1/4 ground cinnamon
Instructions
1. Add apple cider, orange juice, pineapple juice, lemon juice, and cinnamon to a large pot.
2. Whisk ingredients together and bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes. 3. Serve warm from pot with ladle.

????Witchy Wednesday???? Yule Wassail Recipe
Hi lovies! Welcome back to another episode of Yulidays! For today's Witchy Wednesday we are creating one of my favorite drinks of the Holiday. Hope you will try and enjoy as much as I do!
❄ INGREDIENTS ❄
1 Gallon apple cider
1/2 C. orange Juice
1/2 C Brown sugar
1 oranges
Whole cloves
1 apple diced
1 TBSP Allspice
1 TBSP Ginger (Can add more to desired taste)
2 TBS SP Nutmeg (Can add more to desired taste)
3 cinnamon sticks (or 3 TBSP. ground cinnamon)
1/2 C - 1 C Rum
--Simmer 45 min to 1 hour. Enjoy!

WASSAIL | Hot MULLED CIDER | DIY Christmas Beverage
WASSAIL...comes for the Anglo-Saxon phrase meaning 'Good Health'. Made with fresh apple cider, pineapple juice, lemon juice, orange slices, honey, and nutmeg!! Recipe below...
WASSAIL
(Serves 12)
6 cups Apple Cider
4-6 cinnamon sticks, extra to garnish drinks (optional)
1 (48-ounce) can pineapple juice, unsweetened
2 oranges sliced, extra to garnish drinks (optional)
1 tablespoon freshly grated lemon zest
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 cup honey
1. In a large sauce pan, over medium-high heat, add apple cider and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a boil. Cover. Reduce heat to simmer. Simmer for 5 minutes.
2. Add pineapple juice, orange slices, lemon zest, lemon juice, nutmeg, and honey. Bring to a gentle boil on medium-high heat. Reduce heat to simmer. Simmer for 10 minutes, uncovered.
3. Serve in your favorite mugs or coffee cups. Garnish with an orange slice and cinnamon stick, optional.
TIPS: Store in refrigerator, covered, up to 3 days.
