How To make Walt Disney's Oatmeal Cookies
2 c Flour
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Baking soda
1 ts Baking powder
3/4 ts Cinnamon
1 1/3 c Butter
1 1/4 c Granulated sugar
3/4 c Brown sugar
2 lg Eggs
2 tb Water
1/2 ts Vanilla
2 1/2 c Uncooked oats/not instant
1 1/4 c Raisins
In medium bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder and cinnamon. Set aside. Cream butter in very large bowl. Beat in granulated and brown sugars. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time. Add water and vanilla and mix until well blended, about 4 minutes. Mix oats, raisins and flour mixture into sugar mixture & stir until thoroughly blended. Drop by large tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees 9 to 14 minutes, or until light-brown in color. Cool on baking sheet before removing from pan. Makes 4 dozen. Each cookie contains about: 128 calories, 23 mg cholesterol, 6 grams fat, 18 grams carbohydrates, 2 grams protein, 0.12 grams fiber. Source: Los Angeles Times Newspaper -----

Chewbacca in cookie form. It’s kind of like an oatmeal crème sandwich cookie. I used Tootsie Rolls instead of chocolate for the Wookie Belt.

Makes about 8 large sandwich cookies depending on size
Oatmeal cookie
1 cup unsalted soften butter
¾ cup packed light brown sugar
½ cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1.5 cups (120 grams per cup) flour (My flour has 11.7% protein content.)
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp salt
3 cups of rolled oats (old fashioned, slow cooking)
Bake at 350°F until completely baked in center. Depending on cookie size and your oven, it could take from 10 to 20 minutes.
Filling
1 cup unsalted butter
2.5 cups powdered sugar
1 to 2 tsp vanilla
1 to 2 Tbs half and half (cream/milk)
Belt
Tootsie Rolls and powdered sugar
