6 Hamburger buns, split
-and buttered 1. Combine all ingredients except buns in a large mixing bowl. Blend
thoroughly. 2. Place bottom of hamburger buns in a shallow, 10 inch round
heat-resistant, non-metallic baking dish. Spoon tuna mixture onto bun halves. 3. Place top half of hamburger bun on tuna mixture.
4. Heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 4 minutes or until cheese melts.

Today we’re cooking up a Seared Ahi Tuna Burger Recipe with some fresh-caught ahi yellowfin tuna that my dad caught off the coast of Mexico. We’re going to serve this with a toasted brioche roll with plenty of spicy Sriracha mayo, butter lettuce and fresh sliced tomatoes. My daughter said it tasted like a Poke burger, and it was a great hit with our family.
How to Make Ahi Tuna Burgers:
For this Seared Ahi Tuna Burgers Recipe, you’ll need the following ingredients:
1 pound finely diced ahi tuna
1/2 cup diced yellow bell pepper
1/2 cup minced chives
3/4 cup panko bread crumbs
1 egg, whisked
2 tablespoons shoyu or soy sauce
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon-1 tablespoon red pepper flakes (to your taste)
Brioche rolls
Butter lettuce
Fresh sliced tomato
How to Make Tuna Burgers:
Mix all of the ahi burger ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Form into patties and chill for 15-25 minutes.
Serve the tuna burgers on toasted brioche rolls slathered with plenty of Sriracha Mayo and topped with butter lettuce and sliced tomato. Enjoy!
How to make Sriracha Mayo
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic-shallot puree (or 1 clove minced garlic)
Juice from 1/2 lime
1-2 teaspoons minced chives
1/2-1 tablespoon Sriracha hot sauce
Fresh cracked pepper

Lentil Patties:
Ingredients:
2 cans Tuna, drained
1 Onion, chopped
2 Garlic cloves, minced (optional)
2 tablespoons Parsley, chopped
Lemon zest
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon Cumin
1/2 teaspoon Paprika
2 Eggs, beaten
4-6 tablespoons (g) Almond flour/low carb flour
2-3 tablespoons Olive oil
Dipping sauce:
150g Yogurt
1 tablespoon Dill, chopped
1-2 tablespoons Pickles, Chopped
Directions:
1. Open two cans of tuna and drain the oil/water.
2. Transfer drained tuna onto a mixing bowl. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon zest, salt, pepper, cumin, paprika, eggs and mix until combined.
3. Add almond flour and mix until combined. Form into patties.
4. Heat olive oil over medium-high heat. add the patties into the pan and fry until golden, about 3-4 minutes, flip and fry until golden.
5. Make the dipping sauce: in a small bowl, mix yogurt, chopped dill and chopped pickles.
6. Serve and enjoy.
Notes:
• No make the patties healthier you can bake the patties in preheated 180C (350F) oven for 15-20 minutes.
• You can serve the patties with any dipping sauce that you like.
