How To make Sweet Noodles
250 g Fettucini, linguini or
-other noodles 30 g Of Becel margarine
EITHER:
100 g Poppy seed, ground
OR:
100 Walnuts, finely chopped
-[This must mean 100 g. -S.C.] 100 g Caster sugar
Cook the pasta in a large pot of briskly boiling water. Thoroughly mix poppy seeds or walnuts with the caster sugar or do half quantities of both. Drain the pasta and toss with the margarine in a serving dish. Diners serve themselves with pasta and sweet topping, gently tossing them together on their plates. FEELING SAUCEY with this quick Sweet Chili Noodles Recipe

LAY HO MA (how's it going in Cantonese)! There really is no shortage of easy and tasty noodle recipes. Join me in this episode and learn how to make a fast sweet and spicy chili noodles stir fry recipe. Let's begin!
Ingredients:
4 pieces garlic
small piece ginger
1 large red Thai chili
1/2 red onion
30g Chinese chives
130g long green beans
1 small carrot
140g thick vermicelli noodles
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp plantbased oyster sauce
1 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp chili oil (
60g Shimeji mushrooms
handful fresh Thai basil
1/2 tsp white sesame seeds
Directions:
1. Bring a pot of water to boil for the noodles
2. Thinly slice the garlic and chop the ginger into thin matchsticks. Thinly slice the large red Thai chili
3. Slice the red onion. Chop the Chinese chives and long green beans into bite sized sticks. Chop the small carrot into thin matchsticks
4. Boil the vermicelli noodles to package instructions, but try them for doneness
5. Make the stir fry sauce by combining the soy sauce, dark soy sauce, plantbased oyster sauce, and maple syrup
6. When the noodles are done, strain and rinse in cold water
7. Heat up a sauté pan to medium heat. Add the chili oil followed by the red Thai chili, red onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for 2-3min
8. Add the carrots and long green beans. Sauté for another 2-3min. Add the Shimeji mushrooms and sauté for about 1min. Add the Chinese chives and sauté for another minute
9. Add the noodles and sauce. Sauté for another couple of minutes for the noodles to absorb the sauce. Turn the heat off and fold in the fresh Thai basil
10. Plate and garnish with white sesame seeds

Recipe for the Sweet & Spicy crunchy Noodles -
Ingredients :
To Dry Roast :
Peanuts - ½ Cup
Sesame Seeds - 2 tbsp
For the Sauce :
Soy Sauce - ¼ Cup
Brown Sugar - 3 tbsp
Honey - 1 tbsp
Red Chilli Flakes - 2 tbsp
To Boil Noodles :
Water - As Required
Salt - 2 Pinches
Hakka Noodles - 300g
Other Ingredients :
Oil - 2 tbsp
Ginger - 1 inch
Garlic (whole) - 1 no
Spring Onion (whites) - ½ Cup
Salt - A pinch
Spring Onion (greens) - ½ Cup
Instructions:
Heat a pan on medium flame and dry roast the peanuts and sesame seeds till they turn golden brown, keep it aside.
Slice the garlic, cut ginger into thin juliennes and cut the spring onion whites and greens diagonally.
In another bowl or glass, add soy sauce, honey, red chilli flakes and brown sugar and MSG. Mix it till they evenly combine.
Bring water to a boil in a pan, add salt. Add the noodles and boil it till it is cooked. Strain it and keep it under running cold water.
Drain off the excess water from the noodles, add oil to it and mix to avoid the noodles from sticking. Keep it aside
Hear oil in a pan, add ginger and garlic and saute for a few seconds.
Add the spring onion whites and toss it on a high flame for a few seconds.
Add the noodles and the prepared sauce mixture. Toss it till the noodles is coated evenly in the sauce.
Add a part of the roasted peanuts and sesame seeds and a part of the spring onions greens. Toss it well.
Transfer it to a bowl, garnish it with the remaining peanuts, sesame seeds and spring onion greens. Serve it hot.
