Turkey Meatloaf with Feta and Sun-dried Tomatoes
Recipe courtesy of Giada at Home
Total: 1 hr 5 min
Prep: 15 min
Inactive: 5 min
Cook: 45 min
Yield: 4 to 6 servings
Level: Easy
Ingredients
Vegetable cooking spray
1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
1/3 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
1/4 cup chopped garlic and herb-marinated sun-dried tomatoes
2 cloves garlic, minced, optional
2 eggs, at room temperature, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons whole milk
1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 pound ground turkey, preferably dark meat
Directions
Place an oven rack in the center of the oven. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Spray a 9 by 5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, stir together the bread crumbs, parsley, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, if using, eggs, milk, feta, salt, and pepper. Add the turkey and gently stir to combine, being careful not to overwork the meat.
Carefully pack the meat mixture into the prepared pan and bake until the internal temperature registers 165 degrees F on an instant-read thermometer, about 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Transfer to a cutting board and slice. Put on a serving platter and serve.

Do you love meatloaf but want a way to switch things up every now and again? There’s no need to feel like you’re turning your back on the tried-and-true classic, but why not spice things up and put a twist on the traditional version?? Instead of a beef meatloaf with a tomato-ketchup sauce, we were inspired by one of our favorite holidays for this dish. Taking a cue from all the best flavors of Thanksgiving, we made a turkey meatloaf and packed it full of flavor. Seriously, all the best parts of the Day of Thanks rolled into one dish that you can make year-round!

Smoked Turkey Meatloaf
Traditionally, meatloaf is made with hamburger, but you can substitute any meat really! For this video we did ours with Turkey. This is a super simple recipe that turned out amazing, we hope you give it a try the next time you make meatloaf!
• 3 LBS Ground Turkey
• 1 ½ Cups of Panko Bread Crumbs
• 1 Medium Diced Onion
• 1 Large Egg
• 1 TBSP Pepper
• 1 TBSP Salt
• 1 TBSP Garlic Powder
• 2 TBSP Italian Seasoning
• 1 TBSP Worcestershire Sauce
• 1 TBSP of your favorite BBQ Rub
• 1 Link of Italian Sausage
Combine all of the ingredients above thoroughly (Except Sausage).
Line a large loaf pan with plastic wrap.
Place half of the mixture in the pan, add the sausage link, and add remaining mixture.
Cover and place the pan in the refrigerator so the meat can setup.
After a half hour flip the loaf onto a cooking rack.
Add additional BBQ Rub to the surface of the meatloaf.
We preheated our Egg to 275 Degrees and setup for indirect cooking.
We placed the rack in the center of the grill grate.
Once the meatloaf reaches 165 degrees internal, baste with your favorite BBQ Sauce.
After the sauce sets up, remove the meatloaf and let rest for at least 15 minutes.
Slice and enjoy!
