How To make Spicy Stir Fried Fish
4 dried mushrooms
2 cups peanut oil
1 pound whitefish fillets
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
2 tablespoons red pepper flakes
1/4 cup bamboo shoots
drained and chopped
1 tablespoon rice wine
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 teaspoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons green onions :
chopped
Soak mushrooms for 10 minutes in warm water, drain, and chop. Heat oil in a wok. When it is very hot, add fish and fry until lightly browned. Remove to warm dish and pour off all but 2 tablespoons of oil. Add tomato sauce, pepper, bamboo shoots, and mushrooms. Cook, stirring for 3-4 minutes, until mushrooms soften. Add wine, sugar, salt, and soy sauce and stir mixture for 30 seconds. Return fish to pan and turn it over in the sauce. Dissolve conrstarch in 1 tablespoon water and add to wok. Stir gently just until sauce thickens. Pour onto serving dish and garnish with onions.

CHILLI FISH STIR FRY RECIPE | SPICY CHINESE COD FISH
INGREDIENTS:
Fish marinade:
1 to 1 1/2 pounds cod cut in 1 1/2 cubes
sprinkle of salt
1/4 tsp. white pepper
sprinkle of hot chili pepper - optional
1 egg white
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. flour
2-3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. sesame oil
*Mix above ingredients and let marinate for 15-20 minutes
Heat vegetable oil on medium high heat to 350 degrees.
Divide fish into 2 batches.
Fry for 3-5 minutes depending on fish size or until golden brown.
Drain on paper towel.
Sauce:
1/3 cup water
2 tsp. siracha sauce or chili garlic sauce - to your taste
2 Tbsp. ketchup
2 tsp. white vinegar
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. dark soy sauce
1 tsp. cornstarch
*Mix above ingredients
1 small diced onion
1 to 1 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
4-6 red chilies - optional
1 Tbsp. minced garlic
1 Tbsp. sliced stick ginger
oil
In pan or wok on medium high heat add 2-3 tbsp. oil.
Add onions and bell peppers. Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
Add red chilies, minced garlic and ginger. Cook and stir one minute.
Add sauce and toss for 15-30 seconds until thick.
Add cooked fish pieces and toss until coated.
Serve immediately. Enjoy.

We love prawns and we love squid too so with the Korean chilli paste sitting in our fridge, we decided to make this Spicy Stir Fried Squid and Prawns. We're not sure if this is the authentic way to make but it tastes absolutely yum yum yum! You can easily cook this at home too.
